Re: never-ending gallery

probably the most important thing a person needs to do is communicate, by any method possible - I agree and because something always gets communicated we might as well save time and communicate fully. I used my little story of the innocent trick that the woman played on the snake to think about the...

Re: never-ending gallery

hello jack, and thank you for the feedback on ivar, minister at the local baptist church. Although it has not been my practice for most of my life, I have recently begun attending church services at a St. Herman’s of Alaska church. I don’t participate in the rituals but they seem to like me there a...

Playing with bee pollen

If she is willing
to break the rule
and feed me the stuff
meant for the royal jewel
I would be a fool
not to follow her reign
gliding ever sideways
from train to train

for you Mat

Re: never-ending gallery

I like that Geoffrey and am glad to see you drew a picture showing a relationship. A picture telling a story.
Did you need to describe it with his job title? Or are you speaking for the one on the wall and you are telling of his relationship with you?
Sometimes words complicate things.

I think the reach was a man thinking he could find paradise by taking the shortcut of reaching there through women while the goal was every man have a woman.
His reach being an obstacle to the goal which he seemed to want forgiveness for and received.

Re: The bee’s last journey to the rose

Mat I’ll bring it full circle for you and show how my favourite Buddha relates to your bee and maybe be a pointer for you to see what can be gained by following the flight of the bee When these monks gave a discourse they didn’t get to read it. It had to given without notes yet the very same discour...

Re: The bee’s last journey to the rose

- by the way I think most bees are drones...(the Queen sounds a bit girly though...but who knows these days? Let's just say that she is a prolific egg layer...) Very few bees are drones and they live a very short life and never meet a rose. That is the female business. Male bees cannot even feed th...

Re: The bee’s last journey to the rose

There is something that confuses me about the poem and subsequent discussion. I have been wondering if the writer has taken the time to learn how bees actually behave and what are the different roles for male and female bees. Knowing these things help metaphors work. Here Dylan shows how the bee met...

Re: The bee’s last journey to the rose

I have been toying with the idea of the buddha in the bee, or more accurately, the bee in the buddha... ...the buzz the hum The fat Buddha or the skinny Buddha? The reason I ask is that I was buying some whiskey yesterday and the guy in front of me was telling the cashier that there was a jade Budd...

Their chirps are actually not that high. So maybe you would still be able to hear them. Here's an example: https://youtu.be/3CcUO9MdFpg?t=47 Thanks, I now know what to listen for. It was just a few days ago that I learned the city where I live crowned Anna’s Hummingbird as the city’s official bird ...

Re: Climbing on an ant’s shoulder to sashay

just look at this chain someone gave to me I looked at it and I think it had an influence on my dream this morning before I woke. It concerned that rectangular piece to the viewers right. I have no idea what that is but in my dream two men had been joined around such a figure where one had offered ...
