Re: Sony-BMG Releasing Several Leonard Cohen CDs Feb 1
Tonys, I can understand your anger, and you're mostly right up there. You have only understand that Sony was never quite interested in Leonard Cohen, and indeed, he sent them one dollar in 1988 "to pay them off for their campaign and support to my record". Leonard always was a solo player...

Welcome! Check Marie Mazur's Speaking Cohen site also. Between the Files and 'Speaking', you should have plenty of information for your quest.

Re: 2008 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame
Hi Ken -
Greetings and thank you for your observation. Now you know two people from Wisconsin who are not actors (Joe W. & yours truly). In my younger years, I was almost as big a Dylan fan as you are.
all the best,
michael

Re: 2008 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame
That Thing You Do was about a mid-60's garage band imitating English Invasion bands to some success with Tom's character providing the inspiration and new time signature. Thanks friscogrl. I was trying to think of a person who would be "contemporary" with the DC5 (Tom Jones? Donovan? Bill...

Re: Original Releases Have Started To Disappear
Sony is (at best) reticent in giving any information on a release schedule on remasters. Assuming the pattern would be in sets of three and since there seems to be six studio albums that amazon is calling 'out of print'; I felt that "two" sets would be released. Repeated searches of Sony/L...

Re: Original Releases Have Started To Disappear
Hi Yankovic - According to amazon.com only one copy of Death Of A Ladies' Man is available/in stock. One hopes that it may be remastered in a "naked" form (a la the Naked 'Let It Be'), which was Let It Be without Phil Spector. The Future is also listed as out of print. It seems as if two &...

Re: 2008 European Tour
As soon as tickets for any Canadian, American or European venue become available, I'm positive either Jarkko or Ed Sanders from Leonard's management office will announce it to the world through the Files or the Forum. There is no doubt that the majority of Forum participants want to be the first peo...
