Re: The Window

Doron Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your article. An analysis of such depth of Cohen's recurring motifs and specifically of one of his most unique songs "The Window" has enriched my Cohen experience even more. Your work reminded me of Yeats and of his impact on Cohen and made me re...

Re: Paris Fashion Week 1000 kisses deep

In this clip you can actually hear Leonard, in the earlier ones the show cut off before his poem. Listening to the comments, it seems that Leonard moved people deeply, it must have been wonderful to be there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-5qL5eGoHg Evie B This is awesome. "Poetry in motion&...

Re: LEONARD BACK IN 2012

Hi Inna, You asked for my astrological theory about Leonard touring. I found that several of Leonard's major tours had occurred when Jupiter was moving through Taurus (this happens every twelve years). Being optimistic, I suggested that we might get some more Leonard concerts as early as next June....

Re: LEONARD BACK IN 2012

John, you wrote a while back something like, according to Astrology, Leonard should go on touring again soon or something like that? Am I making this up or confusing you with someone else? Sorry if so. But if these were your words indeed, could you repeat your explanation? I remember it was a curiou...

Re: Concert Report for Vancouver Dec 2 2010

Not being able to attend the Vancouver concert myself, I sent special envoy.. "Gypsy Wife"... (aka Irishmar) with strict instructions..."whatever you get, make it good". She rose to the Challenge and below is a link to a special version of Anthem... Leonard has something to get ...

Re: Thesis on Leonard Cohen (1970)

All i can say........read it, its absorbing! Leonard from Montreal Yes, it is indeed an interesting work on Leonard's early poetry books, and the themes are, as leonardmtl said, continue to appear, taking different forms of course, in the later LC pieces. Thanks Maarten for making this available to...

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Ljubljana, Slovenia, Oct. 12, 2010

Morning after the last show, I have to say it's much harder. I think I will have to do the similar thing I made after my first show in July 2008 (what I thought will be my only one) - not listen to LC for a month or so... And try to keep sane:) I can really relate to what you're saying Tom. I find ...

Re: Future Cover

Thanks Tom. I am now listening to "Dance Me to the End of Love" by Tower of Songs - it is an awesome take. I am quickly becoming their fan. These are more melancholic and even dramatic versions than the originals by LC; an intriguing interpretation.

On the left hand side of LC in the middle it says:
First Sergeant
Cohen
What exactly happened
in the lost two months
of Leonard Cohen
in the Yom Kippur War?

then there is the name of the journalist and the page: Ruth Kopperboim >4

This is the word for word translation.
