Re: Birmingham NEC, 22 November 2008

A great night and terrific performance from everyone on stage, I thought that considering the venue was a glorified warehouse the sound was even better than at the RAH earlier in the week. Leonard and Co were obviously enjoying themselves and he was smiling more than even. I do love to see him happy...

Re: London RAH, 17-18 November 2008

Manchester was a wonderful experience as it had been 20 years since I had last seen Leonard and his performance exceeded all expectations. Edinburgh was memorable for the grandeur of the venue. The RAH on Monday was magnificent. 3 hours 10 minutes, give or take, a few new songs and twists to others ...

Re: Milan in October

All I've been able to find so far is Worldticketshop.com who are charging £149.25 or £171.75. Can't get any information from the venue itself.

Re: Edinburgh July 16th

Another stunning performance by Leonard and the band. After the comparative intimacy of Manchester I was afraid that the sound would be compromised but quite the contrary. As other have commented his voice seems to be getting stronger and the some of the arrangements came into their own in a larger ...

Re: Manchester, UK (June 17-20)

Manchester June 18th. In a comparatively intimate setting the experience of a lifetime. I went with a friend, both devotees for the past 40 years and 20 years since we saw him at the Royal Albert Hall. From beginning to end Leonard was in total command, his voice getting stronger as the performance ...

Re: Please, post the setlists...

Exactly! My point, perhaps not well put, was that the appropriate time to publish set lists is at the end of the tour.

... except as a historical record at the end of the tour... Exactly! Check our websites: http://www.leonardcohenfiles.com/, http://www.webheights.net/speakingcohen/main.htm, or the book dedicated to all the tours and setlists 1970-1993, Jim Devlin's Is This What You Wanted , extended to www version...

Re: Maybe it's just me

Red Poppy, Very valid and well argued point and, moreover, in the correct thread. Now I know he's in excellent voice and spirit I will try and resist further temptation and avoid any detailed analysis of the set list until I see him in Manchester and then do the same the same again until Edinburgh. ...

Re: Opening Night - Fredericton

Thanks so much for the reviews, photos and video clips. After so long Its wonderful to see him performing so majestically and sounding so much stronger than on "Dear Heather". Manchester and Edinburgh await.

Re: Rehearsal photos

I really don't mind what he sings. I was at the recent performance of "The Book of Longing" by Philip Glass at the Barbican where Leonard made an appearance and gave a pre-concert interview. Just hearing him speak sent a shiver down my spine, let alone seeing him on stage after so many yea...
