Re: New section

As always, Jarkko's comments entice and seduce. I'll be deep in the American rockies on Monday, but hopefully my phone will connect. I feel badly though for all our friends down-under. :( Meanwhile, anxious to hear the news! :D

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Detroit, Michigan - November 26, 2012

Leonard's Detroit concert at the Fox theatre was special on several levels. First the theatre itself witnessed by several of Joey's photos....it blows you away. In fact it's so ornate that it took several minutes to realize that it was was also decorated for Christmas! Definitely not designed by Ike...

Re: Alternative concert reports

In Seattle I was back in row 11, as I didn't get my ticket on the presale. Good seat actually, but no friends around me :( Couple to my left...husband is placating wife. Actually happy for his wife! Wife is ecstatic! She just discovered Leonard about 2 months ago. She is SO happy, and I remember my ...

Re: Detroit Meetup and ticket to sell

Hi Angel of Compassion, I'm so sorry your husband can't be with you. Makes it a lonely trip, but hopefully the concert will more than make up for it! I have no suggestions for your ticket....sorry. There is no planned meetup, but a friend and I are having a bite to eat at the Hockeytown Cafe, which ...

Re: New Leonard Cohen biography by Sylvie Simmons (Fall 2012

ps: in the Ann Arbor Barnes and Noble, "I'm Your Man" was stuck back in the music section. The day after I bought my copy, I returned and slipped another copy from the hidden depths of "music" to "new arrivals" at the front of the store! Probably no one cared...but me! :D

haha...Marsha, I know what you mean, although my "other" book is awesome. Temporarily set aside for "I'm Your Man"! So far I am very very impressed by Sylvie. She has a beautiful way with words, and I'm looking forward to heading to bed to read a few more pages! What a refreshing...

Re: HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEONARD!

Dear Leonard,

I can't claim 40 plus years of devotion, but I can claim almost 5. You have touched my life deeply. I wish you happiness, a joy of life, the best of health, creative inspirations (selfishly for our future enjoyment), and love...so much love.

A very Happy Birthday!!

Re: CONCERT REPORTS: London, September 8 & 9

Thanks burningviolin for a wonderful review! With your musical background it is very special indeed! My hopes for you in Dublin are A) sunny dry weather B) Avalanche AND Different Sides, and C) no blonde drunks! Enjoy! Wish I could be there too. Would love to see you again, but perhaps "next ye...

Re: CONCERT REPORT: 8 - 9 SEPTEMBER - London UK

Thanks Wendy. I'm sure all UK fans are aware of the difference, but I was assuming it was the same Wembley soccer stadium. Interesting history. I am sure LC's sound crew will create a beautiful evening. They are the best! Enjoy!!

Re: Today's I newspaper

I think Leonard only stopped drinking the 3 bottles of wine. Perhaps because of Roshi...perhaps because of his acceptance of growing older, his perspective on life, love, touring, may have changed. Whatever the pre-concert ritual may be, it seems to touch each and every person in the band. I remembe...

Re: New Songs - dropping like flies ?

Wonderful to hear about the Helsinki concert (before all the other reviews). What I think is so refreshing about this tour, in contrast to the last, is how fluid the setlist has become. Old Ideas, yes, but also many much older "ideas" which are delighting and enthralling us! We never know ...
