Re: Krakow Event Registration

Excellent idea!
Q&A could answer lots of our questions regarding museums, interesting sites, the historical Krakow and so on.

Re: Krakow Event Registration

Yes, it shocked me too (I must see how quotes work, I couldn't place it here). Desperate for survival yet again, maybe?!? Mirek's was just a proposal. The thread is not in here yet - but I suggest he places it under Krakow 2010 as well - this way it would be easier to find for whoever is interested ...

Re: Krakow Event Registration

Thank you, Lizzy, for counting me in, as renting a van is a very good idea. It would also give us a certain degree of independence during the Auschwitz-Birkenau tour. And yes, Mirek, opening another thread for sharing what we know about death camps is a wise decision, thus leaving the Krakow Event t...

Re: Krakow Event Registration

Yes, Mirek, you have a point there. No need to be a problem to our potential hosts, while coming home " at the break of day ". Today is 9/11 and I would like to tell all our American friends that our heart goes with them and the dear ones they have lost eight years ago. Terrible moment in ...

Re: Krakow Event Registration

Dear Lizzy, You are quite right in every way. On one hand, taking the tour in the midst of the Cohen event would be a mistake both ways - so, since it's August and people are generally on holidays, we can add an extra day to our stay and take the full-tour, to see both Auschwitz and Birkenau. On the...

Re: Krakow Event Registration

Jarkko's idea about having two tours is good; if too many of us arrive there at the same time, part of the deep significance might be lost, because of the crowd. Indeed, Diana, many of us have Jewish friends and it is out of respect for them and for their terrible past that I also feel it's a moral ...

Re: Krakow Event Registration

Thank you Arlene, so am I. It is something which is very close to my heart, and moreover, I felt it was a pleasant duty to strengthen the rows of (still meager) Romanian participation! Though Laura alone is worth ten of us or more! It will be a great pleasure and honor to meet everyone, and you, Arl...

Re: Krakow Event Registration

Finally... I did it! Thank you all for help . It seems that numbers had to be written in a continuous row, without the spaces which appear on the card... There is one more thing: I got a confirmation, and it also says: "In order to contact the seller send him/her an e-mail: Stowarzyszenie Mił. ...

Re: Krakow Event Registration

Well, I finally got the right page (in spite of not being German and an Aquarius, but Romanian with Austrian-Hungarian grandparents and a Libra) but, after filling it, it came back saying that the card number is incorrect. Should I write the numbers stenciled on my MasterCard (which I actually did t...

Re: Krakow Event Registration

Could anyone please tell me what to write under "seller ID" and "transaction description"? Sorry, I don't usually make internet money transfers, but rather use the bank to do that directly.

Re: Krakow Event Registration

Thank you Arlene for answering my questions post-Bucharest concert and in view of Krakow event next year. As you can see, I have moved over and will continue to write in here. I would really love to participate - right now I need to find solutions for some problems back home (mother's Alzheimer in n...

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Bucharest, September 4

Hello everyone, Yesterday I was telling Laura that it would be nice, for LC fans closer to home, to meet somewhere in a coffee-shop and "talk Cohen" (and not "about" him). I'm not sure she has received the message anyway. Today I saw the poster of the fans' meeting in Krakow next...

Bucharest concert - an answer to Laura

Yes Laura, I know quite a few people who adore Leonard and know his lyrics by heart because he left a mark on our teen and youth age (in my case the 80s). The first one to call out attention to him - it MUST be said - was Motzu Pittis in his Radio Tineret shows. Suzanne came first, then Joan of Arc ...

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Bucharest, September 4.

One warm September evening, under the spell of the full moon, a Man brought his heart in his hands and whispered how much he loves life. One warm September evening, a Magician made thousands dream while joining in his Hallelujah. One warm September evening, Leonard reinvented all the words and carri...
