Deliver Us From Evil - Hallelujah cover

Just watched an amazing documentary about sexual abuse at the hands of Catholic priests. "Deliver Us From Evil". Was pleased to hear Hallelujah covered in the closing credits but the quality of the DVD I had was pretty bad. Couldn't read who the artist was. O, and "I'm Your Man" ...

Now I'm feeling protective!

Just posted my San Francisco show experience and saw this one from Dick. Geez...I thought it was a great show and enjoyed the hell out of it. Didn't notice lots of people "making out" but I did have my eyes on the stage. But I guess it's a good thing if you've got a bit of Barry White goin...

Cafe du Nord - San Francisco Show

Many of you guys have seen Anjani live by now and I also enjoyed her live show in San Francisco. Suzanne Holland sang The Guests and Priest to open up the show before Conspiracy of Beards sang. She did a great job and I visited with her and Michael quite a bit. The place was so packed all thirty Bea...

Thanks Dick. I was trying to send a pm to damellon to let him or is it a her? know that there are a great bunch of Cohenites who are going to the show on the 24th. (I noticed no one responded in the thread.) Glad to see you let this person know they are welcome to join you all. I mean the person is ...

Oops....I did it again. Holy crap, I'm totally incompetent! What a damn joke. I keep posting to the public forum when I think I'm sending a pm. Good friggin' thing I don't say horrible stuff when I think I'm talking in private. I'm an idiot....might as well continue to post to the forum since I'm do...

Have a great time

I'm staying away from posting to the forum, except for a lapse or two, but I wanted to wish you a wonderful trip and send hopes that your visit will be perfect. I'm a long time Cohen participant, since about 1997 when the newsgroup was going strong, and if I had the time I would share a few feelings...

Before I go back into hibernation, the bear references and all that, one last long-winded personal pm type post. It is true that "back in day" of the newsgroup we had a way with words. We ranted and raved, before blogs became the rage, and the group was less structured and, at times, vindi...

Miss Understanding...

See...now what I meant when I said, "Don't go there, lizzy", was for lizzy to not start congratulating me on being able to entertain even the possibility of meeting LC. That sort of thing. And so lizzy thought I meant for "her" not to go to San Francisco. That's not what I meant ...

Forum folks going to San Francisco gig?

I've decided to head up to the San Francisco show...not to meet Leonard, so don't go there lizzy!..but to enjoy an evening of music. (I checked out the "Conspiracy of Beards". They're on the bill with Anjani and it's thirty men singing LC exclusively and a capella. Works for me!) If anyone...

I tried to PM the Bay area person to maybe see about hitching a ride with them, but, that might be pushing it. And, I'll bet the other confirmed attendee is our Goddess Val? Well...looks as if this LA trip will not happen for me. But wonder who the folks in the Bay area are? I'm in Sacramento and wo...

Almost as much fun as a barrel of monkeys putting on a puppet show. O ya, until those strings got all wrapped around their limbs and heads. I wonder. Am I running with scissors, laughing at the stooges, putting a hat on my cat? Could be. Hard to see with only one good eye! Always enjoy your postings...

Well I loved, "Come Back to the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean". Absolutely loved it. I also like that Altman cast Cher in that film. She did an amazing job. O, and "Three Women". (Man...I'm so old. I must have seen these films when I was a toddler. Yep, that's it!) Sorry ...
