Re: "do you" vs "do ya"
Sorry, I'm not DrHGuy, but I agree with your rock and roll analogy. Also,', do you, rhymes. Do ya, doesn't. I think he's kind of eased his way out of the rock talk, don't ya think?

Jarkko's site is so vast, it's almost depressing.
No kidding! I leave for a while and the additions are incredible - it becomes too much! At one time I could keep up, but no longer. This is a library, a scholarly place while still being social. Such a vast and comprehensive site. ! Yowza!

Re: "do you" vs "do ya"
Leonard has always been noted for his precise enunciation, as in Master Poems - every word is 'precise'. I think 'do ya' is a way of communicating in the common vernacular - speaking in a loose, and 'general' way. The alliteration is a way of communicating what he feels, I think,or speaking to his a...

It's Bird on THE Wire not A wire... :? :D I had read that the girls that inspired Sisters of Mercy were in fact from Britain or some far flung place, and were here in Canada to inspire us all to wear coloured leggings or some such. In any event, I think one was named Barbara, I'm working on memory h...

Re: Alberta Cohen fans
Hi St. Theresa, I got the links in this morning's mail, and have yet to read it all, but I do see some familiar names. ;-) And Leonard keeps on wowing the crowd. It warms this ol' heart of mine. I am SURE you enjoyed the concert! Hmmm....? Maybe you 'hated' it? Fat chance of that!!! Thanks for...

St. Theresa! Thank you so much for covering my butt. Ha! My oversight. I posted that article in another one of my other other blogs, which I'm kind of falling behind in. Also, when I saw it, I felt it would make the 'news' section here... but no excuses!! Mea culpa~ Thanks again for picking up on it...

This touched me - not just in content, but I think it was sweetly laid out - well, written. There is a rim of saline just above my lower lid.

Re: T shirt tale
I bought the V-neck Beautiful Losers T-shirt in Vancouver, and it's a nice quality - soft and I bought a size larger than needed so the V is quite well, 'alluring'. :) Nice for showing off summer jewellery. However, I wore it around town the day after the concert, and I think the general feeling was...

Well, a happy wedding anniversary to you and your wife, Daniel. One couldn't ask for a much better gift. Gee, trying to find Leonard's hotel - that would be quite the chore. I couldn't even guess where they might have stayed. That 'would' have been sweet, wouldn't it?

Oh, Richard, come out into the light! Don't lurk like a mushroom! When I first met you, I very nearly said "Richard, my, what an original board name". However, under the (lurking) circumstances, I don't suppose it matters if you have a board name or not. :D Well, if you get the nerve/interest, you k...

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Victoria April 21
The concert, of course, was brilliant, I having seen it in Vancouver. On the merch, it 'was' good quality, wasn't it? I liked the tag 'Unified Heart Touring Company'. All merch at lesser concerts, even, is expensive, but the quality was nice here. I get the feeling it will survive at least one or tw...

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Vancouver, April 19
Hi St. Theresa, The merch was fun. I also bought a key chain, which, if you take the 'ring' part off (the part that holds your keys), you can string a piece of leather thru it and wear it as a pendant. It's quite large and heavy. Looks like pewter. But what do I know of 'metals' - except the 'good' ...

HI Lizzy, Hmm..well, I wasn't the tall woman in a red coat afterall. I was the tall woman in a khaki trench coat as it was leaning to the rainy side (per usual), and it wasn't as cool as I thought it would be. Yes, Sheila thinks ahead. Two balloons. :) Re: my concert going or not concert going, I ca...

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Vancouver, April 19
I have nothing to add to the fine article posted above, or the comments made by Sheila. After waiting a lifetime to see Leonard, I can say with honesty it was the most incredible show I've seen. I was so pleased that his voice sounded as good, golden and 'sexy' as it did. As Sheila said, he and the ...
