I downloaded "sweet Jane" from limewire. It is listed as leonard cohen and Patti Smith; there is a mans voice at the very start of the song, but it doesn't sound like leonard at all.

A Disney song by Leonard, for me it would have to be "The wonderful thing about tiggers" with "Heffalumps and Woozles" a close second.

Don't forget the poem "Last thoughts on Woody Guthrie" which is read by Dylan on the "Bootleg series vol.1-3".
Come to think of it, it does have a lot in common with rap.

O.K. fair enough.....my attention must have wandered a wee bit. It is a relief to know that no one was slagging off "Orphans".

I for one love Tom's new record. The middle disc in particular, "Bawlers" is easily accessible and has some great songs. The other two are a bit more challenging and take a bit more work, but well worth it. I didn't get around to posting on "best album of 2006" but this one gets my vote.

I was checking train times for Thursday on the internet, and the following warning came on screen; Note: Certain combinations of outward and return journeys would result in you needing to leave your destination before arriving at it. I'll try to not get one of those combinations, see you Thursday. R...

The movie "Shrek" introduced a lot of children to "Hallelujah". I went with my grandson to see it, he was already familiar with the song and loudly sang along.

This is remarkable, LiquidSound. Would you kindly talk us through the process by which you came to this discovery. Did you work through Leonards work, from the "songs of", playing them all backwards untill something happened? Or was it just a random stab in the dark? We need to know these things. Rob.

I particuarly like this one from Arthur Smith (Arthur Smith sings Leonard Cohen)
Leonard Cohen once wrote a song called "Don't go home with your hard on", and as far as I can make out, he never did.
