Sorry......I didnt read the fine print and subtleties of pseudonyms vs. changing pseudonyms etc etc. No big deal to me...I don't have any strong feelings one way or other really. I wish you all good things too, Lizzytysh. I only wish Mr. Ed 'ridiculous things' in the hope of fermenting that active i...

BlueNote & Lizzytysh,
I guess these are your pseudonyms..not your real names. I myself don't have a problem with pseudonyms and perhaps you shouldnt either.

Mr. Ed, Regardless of my opinion on the matter at hand (actually I don't even have one), I think we should have a separate section for your imaginative ramblings. You are yet to disappoint me which is more than can be said about these songwriters and poets that we talk & write about. All ridiculous ...

I don't think LC ever really had religion (in the sense most people think)although he certainly did not rebel. He mentioned somewhere that "I've tried to keep it up in my own half-assed way." He also said "religion is one of the great organizing principles of the world." That is an obviously true st...

Just saw Dylan in concert....his bark was in magnificent form although he tended to make the tunes a little monotonous. His present backup band is probably the best thing that has happened to him in recent years. In excellent spirits he even tried a few awkward dance steps. As usual he didnt utter a...

I had never thought about it this way before but I see now that in one sense there is some kind of inherent contradiction between saying 'If it be your Will' and following that up with 'If there is a choice'. If it is simply someone's will then there really is no choice. It may not do any good but i...

The theme & style of 'Who By Fire' is also closely reworked from an old Jewish prayer. LC has mentioned this in concerts & interviews. There may be a couple of others in this category too but I am not sure. It would be nice if a single section on this site gave the antecedents of various songs of LC...

Is there another figurative explanation ? Anyway, he could be speaking from some else's perspective. Aznavour had a great song 'What makes a man' from the perspective of a gay transexual.
Yes, I have noticed LCs personal history points exclusively to pretty ladies.
Methinks he missed the point......

Just one will do fine, thank you. No, I do not know that song...but it appears to be as old as I am.

I see you are making things tougher now !! I have no idea.....

Dylan has never achieved (or tried to) the lyrical precision of LC. But he is far more versatile in the issues he has written about and has taken more musical risks. Also, the very lack of lyrical precision brings out raw emotions like nobody can (hear Idiot Wind, It's Alright Ma). LC is more of a s...

It is amazing to me that people can pass judgment so easily on who is intelligent and who isnt. Sometimes it is enough just to communicate. Seems like LCs message has been in vain.

Paula & Lizzytysh,
Why do you say Don't Go Home With Your Hard-on is crap/filler etc ? I happen to like it and don't think it is crap at all although there are better songs on DOALM.

p.s. BTW, Dylan is singing background vocals on it. Must be his bad influence
