Lizzy? :? Didn't you read my post? I said: I personally don't believe you would have knowingly aided anyone's deceit, if there were any. I know you would not play such games. Which is what I told NEHOC when he PMed me with his suspicions!! Also note I said ' if there were any' deceit. I'm no...

Paula: I hope your friend tarries a while and reads a few of your posts. But of course she did, just as she saw the real side of C2 all over my pages on Allpoetry. Fortunately, there really are some people without prejudice who actually appreciate those who speak the truth, "reality-based", without ...

C2, Really! I posted a few days ago that I had no intention in talking to you any more. Evidently you still are. Not that I recall any such statement, except for your apparent realization that you could not prevail with your sophistry or nastiness. I really coudn't care less whether your "poe...

Hi Lizzy ~ :D I think what NEHOC is getting at, that seems to bother him, is the apparent 'coincidence' between the choice of 'theme/subject' and the convenient (probably prewritten) poem entered by the one who triggered the contest idea in the first place. He is presumably questioning the source of...

Hi Angeleyes! :D

You have the other little typo fixes in your PM box. I'm not as lazy as some wannabe 'editors' ;)

Hi Laurie ~ :D Interesting and diverse selection you got. Well, the 'Backwards Cohen' person may be "bitching", but I'm afraid they have a point. #2 was a favourite of mine for the depressing and slightly surreal mood created by the reference to Raskolnikov... it's what made the poem. Nicely and eff...

Yeah, Liz, that helps for the judging ... but not the aftermath  . Some hold 'blind' comps on AP as well (although the numbers of users on the site tends to make it virtually equivalent to anonymity). I shall share your optimism in the good grace of the entrants. I agree with your "winner/non w...

Mareka banter is good natured that is the the distinction. Your responses always seem to have an underlying nastiness which always promotes the righteousness perfection, godliness that is Mareka. Paula, the operative word there is "seem", to you . There is no "nastiness" intended on my part, except...

Hi Liz ~ :D It's all about balance and motives, is what I'm really trying to say. Yes, I announced Georges' win on here as a counterpoint to all the razzing he had received for so long. It was a gesture of encouragement to him, the person, for his sincere creative efforts. If some could bother to re...

Yes, Paula, I can see the distinction you make very well... when others do it it's called "banter", when I do I'm called all those names. Does that not indicate a wish to start quarrels where none were intended? I know you never make your animosity towards me a secret, despite the fact that i...

Good grief!! How could anyone read "insult" into what I said? :? I simply stated I wasn't into 'poetomachia' ( not "poetomachina"), it only means a quarrel or contest among poets. :D All I was saying was that I am not inspired by 'competing' in such things. Stating MY position, not a judgeme...

I personally couldn't give a damn who wins either. :D Especially since I didn't enter. Poetomachia has never been of any interest, or inspiration, to me. However, I do know how much fun hosting a contest is. So I think Lizzy and Laurie are the ones having the most fun - and the real winners in this....

Oh, no no, Byron, please don't be so modest! :D I can assure you, in the realms of sophistry you have few peers. ;) That pricked ego still smarting, is it? Tsk, tsk. You know there is a saying that bearing bitter grudges is like taking poison and waiting for the other person to die. Namaste, ...
