[ i]This is a paste of my original post under News about the NYC event, before Jarkko asked us all to post to this forum. Just returned from New York, where we were treated to one Hell of a fabulous show Friday night at the Knitting Factory -- Perla Bettala, Julie Christenson, Paul Ostermayer and su...

Definitely agree on the yesterday thought.

I'd love to see Al Franken (just because I love Al Franken, and he is Jewish, left wing and funny) and Jennifer Warnes do the presentation, and to hear Bird on a Wire and Anthem.

Lucky, indeed, to have had so many special people work so hard to put this togehter, and that all the pieces finally worked out so wonderfully in spite of the many setbacks encountered. We did not even have the energy to stick around for a lot of the open mic stuff that went into the wee hours. I wa...

Dylan has, or shortly will be, appearing at a local hot spot in Wilmington, Delaware called the Big Kahuna. It's one of those theme clubs that is shaped like a huge volcano. Very tacky. I myself have never set foot in the place, of course. Many people were amazed that an icon such as he would stoop ...

Wish you could have been there! Leonard is still heavily into his synthesizer, which will no doubt dismay some folks who were hoping for accoustic. The music is multi-layered, funny, poignant, gets under your skin -- essential Cohen, only different from anything he has done before -- even Ten New So...

NYC Event

Just returned from New York, where we were treated to one Hell of a fabulous show Friday night at the Knitting Factory -- Perla Bettala, Julie Christenson, Paul Ostermayer and surprise guest appearance by Bob Metzger, as well as some outstanding work on the piano, drums and base. One of the best con...

I always thought that the lyrincs were " the Nameless and the Named", meaning, God and God's creation (himself).

There was nothing left between himslef and God.

Too bad you couldn't keep Dubya over there with you. Perhaps we could trade "leaders".

At least it would be a change.

I'd just like to say that, in my opinion, Truth is indeed perception, to many people. Are there not many versions of Truth? I am not certain we ever know truth as humans, since our perceptions and instincts taint all that we see. It comes down to whose perception we choose to accept as the truth. So...

The same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago. It was also bogus.

I think it was a ploy to get account numbers etc.
