The songs are very much like TNS, Leonard more the narrator than the singer. Some Jazz-Elements here, a few more guitars there, and the ladies (Anani and Sharon) adding vocals. The title song "Dear Heather" itself appears more lively, refreshing somehow after the other songs row the boat with a gloo...

I saw Josh Ritter in Berlin this year doing support for Damien Rice. He was a cute guy beeing really funny, no wonder as he has such great curley hairs. I loved his performance a lot more than Rice. I didn't hear anything that resembles Leonards music, he is on his own track and that's for good.

Andrew,

I am sure you're singing was perfect the night Chelsea beat Arsenal in the EC quarter finals (with a little help of former Borussia Keeper JL)

Celly, thnx for your comment. No need to apology for rambling, that's what boards are made for. Yes, I meant mood, because in fact, I have no idea what else cohenesque could be. Tindersticks did convince me with their latest album "Waiting for the moon" but still it is a long way to go for them to c...

Will Oldham

In and out of context, I would like to ask if somebody could help me with a copy: "The Record Collector coming out Februari the 19th in the UK will have an extensive career overview charting his progress from acting and Box of Chocolates through the Palace and Bonnie years and right up to Palace Gre...

>>I listened to the 1966 World Cup Final live (from midnight on) and was overjoyed by that great win by England! Andrew, I thought we were friends. Great win ? You seem to still believe that the third England goal really existed. Justice ruled since then. Them Queen shavers will never succeed again.

In Jim Devlin's book "In his own words" you can read Leonard's comment, that each singer has only 3 songs maximum. I would like to know more about the third one, because I am so familiar with the other two, one set in minor, one set in major. Yesterday I listened to "Jazz Police" and I really liked ...

Today I have learnt that somehow I didn't receive all requests that people have sent. I think there was a problem with the email server. I use to reply to all emails that I get. I'd like to ask those who didn't get an answer to try again. Thank you.

This is far beyond what I expected when I started this in 2000. On a warm July evening I was reading "Energy of slaves", I really was dying and suddenly there was a tune. I was like "Oh what is this ?" and so it went on and on and by the end of 2001 I had almost the whole book dressed in chords. "Do...
