Re: CONCERT REPORT: Kingston, Ontario - December 13, 2012

Sturgess66--

Do you know if there is a video available for La Manic or Lover, Lover, Lover from Kingston, or for Tower of Song from the 2nd Boston concert?

A fellow Pennsylvanian would love to see these.

Re: LUCCA, ITALY (July 9, 2013) NOW ON SALE

lorielenamarie, I think the presale ended, but finding the seat chart for the regular sale might be the same. I had trouble locating it too, heres what I did: Clicked yellow box to order tickets; entered quantity in price range I wanted; then a box appeared on the right above the ticket, saying some...

Re: MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR

Merry Christmas to all the other fans here, especially the many new friends we met this year! Thank you Leonard for continuing to amaze us, and to your band and tour personnel for making these fabulous concerts possible. And thank you Jarkko, without the presales you arrange we would never have even...

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Kingston, Ontario - December 13, 2012

Just returned home from Kingston, a nice little city that I will try to revisit when the weather is warmer. This was a great show. It is hard to compare a show you just saw with ones from the past, but I feel safe in saying this was the best Leonard concert I have seen, surpassing even L'Olympia in ...

Re: we NEED an album of LC spoken poetry

Leonard REALLY reads poetry well. I think being a poet and reading poetry is what taught him to enunciate his so well when he sings. Not like so much music where you are constantly guessing at the lyrics. For a great reading by Leonard, google "leonard cohen youtube god is alive" and you can hear hi...

Meet-Up in Kingston

Since I found no Kingston meet-up topic, I've started one.

Can any locals suggest a hotel or B&B that is not too far from K-Rock Centre? Will be driving to Kingston the day before the concert and look forward to meeting some other fans that nite or next day before/after concert.

Re: Live in London @ PBS, airing thru August 2009

Crass fundraising--maybe, but there is a silver lining. It was viewing this show back in 2009 on PBS that was the genesis of my rediscovery of Leonard Cohen. Before the PBS fundraiser in 2009 all I had were LC's first 3 albums (on vinyl); today I have all of his albums on CDs, some of his writing, t...

Re: PRESALE TO NEW YORK AND BROOKLYN

Maryellen, I suggest you go to "Old Ideas World Tour 2012/USA and Canada" section of this forum and then to the "Find, Sell, or Swap Tickets" section and post your request for tickets (and price range). Caveta, however, is that it is likely that tickets made available by forum members would be the m...

I would also find it interesting to see the dedication before So Long Marianne, any chance any videos were taken by forum members?

Jarkko, take a break from all the work you do to keep this message board running and enjoy your birthday! Hope to have the opportunity to meet you at one of this year's concerts to thank your personally and buy you a beverage.

Regards,

Re: What songs does he play on his 2012 tour?

I suggest that you make a small investment and purchase the DVD "Live in London" and view it a few times. Songs in 2012 concerts may change (certainly there will be some additions from the new "Old Ideas" album), but "Live in London" should give you a good idea of what you can expect to see, and man...

All interested parties have said, I think, all that can be said on this topic, so let's end this thread, unless someone out there insists on having the final word.
