Re: Is it becoming slightly stale?

Actually despite my slightly negative view on this thread I'm still looking forward to two concerts in Rome and Hamburg. With a bit of luck LC will have read my comments by then and so will put on a special unique show just for me these nights

Re: Is it becoming slightly stale?

In all three examples each set starts and finishes with the same song. The first encore is identical every concert - no exceptions, so we always know the show format. Roscoe Beck does the same bass solo at the end of Who by Fire every night. The band are always introduced during Anthem the same way ...

Re: Is it becoming slightly stale?

Re: Is it becoming slightly stale?

I think when LC embarked on the 2012 tour there was an opportunity to make significant changes to the band line up. It was good that the woodwinds were changed to Violin and a new guitar sound was added but I think it should have gone further. I think Roscoe and the Webb Sisters should have been let...

Is it becoming slightly stale?

It's great that the US tour has kicked off again to rave reviews but could it be the performance is becoming a little to predictable in terms of format and content. Since 2008 every show has begun with the same song for both act 1&2 as well as the first and second encores. I think most folks going t...

Re: Hope for Europe? (Several threads merged)

France has had their fair share of shows in the past; about 20 since 2008. It would be good for some new cities to get a look in. Besides it's easy from France to visit neighbouring coutries compared to us in the UK.

Re: The tour that never happened until it did

I totally agree with all of this. It is a disgrace that it is taking so long to release all the Euro tour dates. After all most other touring artists seem to manage it OK. No concerts should be announced or any tickets sold (including presales) until the vast majority of dates are fixed. Of course t...

Re: Are ticket prices too high?

One thing to remember is that LC is on stage for almost twice as long as most other artists. Perhaps if the show was shorter the tickets would be cheaper ;-)

Yes, a show in Rutherglen Town Hall, Partick Burgh Hall or the Couper Institute would be good :D

Re: Hope for Europe? (Several threads merged)

Does seem a little odd that no more Euro dates have been booked for a while.

Re: PRESALE NOW TO LONDON (June 21, 2013)

I have said this before but AEG are very clever at selling LC tickets: they know many fans will attend several shows so they never release the full tour schedule in one go even when they have it. Almost every other touring artist has their tour schedule released when all the dates are final and not ...

Re: UPDATED: TOUR MERCHANDISE / EUROPE

The LC poly bags supplied with the merchandise at the concerts state at the bottom that you can have a 15% discount on items you buy through the LC website by entering the code "OLDIDEAS". Well the website does not allow you to input this code. Instead you have to pay the full amount first then call...

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Madrid, Spain, October 5, 2012

I have been been fortunate to have attended several of the concerts on the 2012 tour at many cities including Fridays show in Madrid where I had a front row seat. I don't think there is any evidence that LC is feeling tired towards the end of the show in fact quite the opposite if you watched him to...
