Re: Music You're Listening To

Just been listening to the song "Blanchard" from Hope Sandoval's new album due out in September - it's been a long wait. :D http://www.myspace.com/hopesandoval http://i.realone.com/assets/rn/img/9/7/8/2/28972879-28972884-slarge.jpg Tickets for Hope's gig at the Festival Hall in November go on sale t...

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Weybridge, July 11

Don't know about 'concert report' - mine's more of a traffic report. It took me a staggering two and half hours to travel from the M25 (junction 10) to MBW. One funny thing was listening to the 6:45pm travel bulletin on LBC which reported a massive tailback on the A3 back to the M25 due to "a Leonar...

Re: Music You're Listening To

I recently discovered Robert Crumb & His Cheap Suit Seranders and cannot stop listening to the three albums they recorded in the mid '70s - very similar to Leon Redbone's early albums. Yes, this is the same Robert Crumb who created Fritz the Cat. Fantabulousl! :D http://g-ecx.images-amazon.com/image...

Midnight Choir wrote:For those who have received their tickets in the post, may I ask, did they come in the regular post, or did you have to sign for them from the postman (such that they would have not been left had you been out) or by courier?

Thanks
Regular post - no signing.

I also got my tickets this morning. :D

I just noticed the starting time for the concert is 9:30pm. I hope we don't get a shorter set from Leonard because of the late start.

Re: Venice, August 3 - on sale from May 6

Thanks for that Andrea! So this is the actual seating plan for the front blocks: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2302/3537643178_d1cc37e53a_o.gif It's interesting that so many VIP seats (the yellow ones) are STILL available. I know they're expensive, but how often do you get a chance to see Leonard i...

Re: Venice, August 3 - on sale from May 6

Is this the definite seating plan? In that case I'm very pleased with my B10 tickets. I don't think anyone knows the exact seating plan yet. This was the plan for David Gilmour's concert and it's quite different if you're in B10 but it may be completely different (again) for Leonard's concert. http...

Re: Leonard nominated for MOJO 'Best Live Act'

Any idea why they would need your phone number in order for you to vote? I would think an e-mail address would be sufficiant to badger you with products and services. Daevid By casting your vote you're also entered into a prize draw - the winners get free tickets to the MOJO awards - so they need t...

Leonard nominated for MOJO Best Live Act

Leonard's nominated for 'Best Live Act' in the MOJO Honours List 2009.

He's up against Fleet Foxes, Paul Weller, Seasick Steve and the obligatory Radiohead.

Re: Venice, August 3 - on sale

I found a numbered seating plan on another website (hope the link works!): http://www.pinkfloydz.com/onanisland/images/italy4th/venice.pdf If this is right - and it sort of makes sense - then row XX means there is no row number; the seat number itself designates the row. So seats 37 & 38 are in the...

Re: Venice, August 3 - on sale

Both those charts are very similar with the block numbers.

I'm in A3, but row XX wherever that might be, unless XX means row 20?

I received an email titled "Order Confirmation - TicketOne" immediately after the order went through. Hope this helps.

Re: Cohen Heads? or Cohenites?

I thought we were Beautiful Losers... (well, most of us anyway). ;-) Back in 2000, when I was in Paris to see Tom Waits, I passed a bar which had a sign outside saying "Raindogs Welcome Here!" I'd never heard the term before but knew immediately what it meant. It would be the same if I was passing a...
