Re: Julie Christensen and Perla Batalla on tour?

Jarkko ...Thanks for the reply.

It is a great pity if it is not Julie and Perla... they seem the natural choice and difficult to surpass, but perhaps they have other commitments.

Julie Christensen and Perla Batalla on tour?

Is there any word on whether or not Julie and Perla are going to be part of this tour? To my ears they add so much to the music that it would be a pity if they are not part of it. Just imagine Joan of Arc without Julie etc., heavenly ... and what about their rendition of the Anthem on the 'I'm Your ...

Re: Dublin, June 14-15 - tickets

I have tickets for Block A5 row K received at a Ticketmaster outlet at 9am. Within 5 minutes others standing beside were bing told it was sold out and Sunday night was on sale at approx 09.10. I thought this a bit unfair as Ticketmaster and the promoters had not advertised Sunday night (The 'Irish T...

Further note on Poland

As we left the venue we saw LC walk down the stairs and outside. A short time later outside the cars with LC, Anjani and the band were pulling out. My wife and I waved. Two 'fans' (one who had been inside at the buffet but security would not let go upstairs to LC- I felt sorry for him) were standing...

In Warsaw I was impressed by not only Leonards graciousness and gentleness but also by his calmness and relative youthfulness given his age. As leonard walked down the stairs to leave the radio station arm in arm with Anjani wearing what at a distance looked like a famous blue raincoat he looked you...

Leonard and Anjani in Warsaw.

I have just returned from Warsaw. It was a magical experience. To see Leonard walk on the stage was spine tingling and brought tears to my eyes. His introduction, words on Polands advance since his last visit and reading of poetry was masterful. Anjani and the musicians were as near perfect as is hu...

I like many others would also travel anywhere in the world to see LC . His music has been an integral part of my life for a considerable time and as time passes this seems to intensify. It is however his choice on whether to perform live again and I respect that. He has given and shared a tremendous...

Leonard Cohen: I'm Your Man (Cert PG) Peter Bradshaw Friday November 24, 2006 The Guardian (3 stars of 5) Well, he's not everybody's man, easily derided as a miserablist droner, but Lian Lunson's documentary about a huge Cohen tribute concert in Sydney interspersed with interviews with A-list admir...
