Re: Presale to Sligo

In regard to the difficulties (fiasco) experienced by some, including myself, in getting tickets at the pre-sale launch Ticketmaster have advised the following: 'This has been checked by our online & marketing department and there were no errors with our web site for this sale. Any problems in attem...

Re: PRESALE to SLIGO on April 24-26

Even though disappointed with the pre sale I nevertheless thank Jarkko for the opportunity but personally I would not go to a concert and watch a screen ( many of the seats at Kilmainham were so far to the side or far back that it was only the screen that could be viewed and I would not pay the tick...

Re: Leonard for Ireland?

Feeling a bit jaded about all this really...Kilmainham 2008 very very special...Dublin O2 and Belfast 2009 a surprise bonus...but 2010 feels not so special....a bit of the 'repeat final tour phenomenon 'sinking in with me I am afraid and a degree of cynicism(and the cost of tickets and accommodation...

Vanessa Mae

I believe that Vanessa Mae was at one stage rumoured to be part of the current band that went on tour from 2008 and for whatever reason did not end up being part of this. Previous recordings and live shows had a main violin player who was truly gifted and added so much to the emotion of the songs (i...

Re: Beautiful Black and White videos from 2008 show

Lisa, Thanks for the link to these works of art...absolutely stunning and capture the pure emotion and essence of the wonderful concerts we have all been privileged to witness and be part of. They must be amongst the best footage from any of the concerts, brilliant camerawork and the moving from the...

Re: BONO CRIED OVER COHEN

Bono is totally and purely a self promoting egotistical narcissist. He jumps on every and any bandwagon to promote himself, be it the poor, destitute or association with other artists (is there any artist he has not praised / wanted to join him in his self possessed and created hallowed ground?). I ...

The last few years were extraordinary.

The last few year have been extraordinary in many ways with LC outselling many 'major' well known acts. The public response has been to say the least unbelievable. At the concerts I was amazed by the number of people I met who did not know much about LC but had made the effort to buy a ticket, atten...

Re: CONCERT REPORTS: Dublin, July 19, 20, 22, 23

Reading these comments again and thinking of the generosity of spirit of LC and the impact of this on others I was reminded of something that happened standing in line to get in to the Dunlin concert. There was a busker playing guitar with a note asking for money to buy a ticket for the concert. A m...

Re: 667 concerts and counting...

According to information (which is now several years out of date!) the English rock band Status Quo (still touring today) in their 40+ year history, have played over 6000 live shows to a total audience in excess of 25 million people. In doing so, the band has travelled some four million miles and sp...

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Belfast, July 26

Another very very good night and performance with LC and the band looking really rejuvenated and thoroughly enjoying themselves. Only slight downside for me was the gulpins who shouted out every now and again ( 'Sharon' and 'Play Alexandria Leaving' etc, etc.,) and some of the 'pretentious' that the...

Re: Leonard in Belfast

Rubyred it is great that you met the great man. I met him 2 years ago and his meekness and gentleness shone through and left a lasting impression on me. I can vividly remember how genuinely he greeted me by name and spent time with me even though his minder was trying to move things on, Leonard was ...
