Re: PARIS meet up?

Personally, the nearer the Olympia the better; American Dream or Harry's Bar -or similar. People may have to grab a bite to eat late afternoon then meet up 5.30 - 6pm for drinks and chat. Much depends on numbers; if we're only a small/smallish group then we could just 'arrive' at a bar and sit insid...

Re: PARIS meet up?

Thanks for that information; I couldn't understand why only one train time was coming up for the return journey. Have just booked; arriving Friday afternoon, concert Saturday night, home midday Sunday. Will certainly be at meet-ups, and when I have more time, will put some more suggestions forward r...

Re: HOP FARM (UK), 8 SEPT ON GENERAL SALE

In 2010 I attended 2 concerts - one in the warm, dry comfortable Zenith stadium in Lille. The other outside at Lissadell in Sligo. Both were wonderful, BUT the atmosphere at Lissadell, and the evening itself was beyond descripion. To get to the House was a 2 mile coach ride down a single track lane ...

Re: Tickets

AN AFTERTHOUGHT - whilst doing the ironing....... Gerard Drouot - the main ticket seller for concerts in France - have you collect your tickets in person at the venue 1 hour before the concert starts, with proof of purchase. Surely, those people who purchase concert tickets - whether it's 1 or 20, w...

Re: Tickets

I think it's wrong to assume that all the best seats are sold during the pre-sale - all ticket sellers are allocated a number of different priced seats, and they seem to release them to suit themselves. I missed the pre-sale start for Paris, and when I got on-line was offered a seat 13 rows back fro...

Re: PRESALE TO GHENT

If you are looking at the English version of the Sherpa site then try the French or Dutch versions. My seat numbers do not appear on the English version but they are there on the French and Dutch versions. RichardS Well, I've tried the French and the Dutch versions and they're all the same,ie.date ...

Re: accommodation hints for Paris

Spent hours yesterday searching for reasonable hotels within walking distance of Olympia Hall - don't fancy wandering/staggering around the streets of Paris or underground stations in the early hours......... Anyway, approx. 5 mins away on foot, just off Boulevard Italiens, I found the 3*Hotel Held...

Re: PRESALE TO GHENT ACTIVE NOW

Bought 2 tickets half an hour after pre-sales opened, for Golden Circle on Sunday 12th August. I now have the chance to go to Paris in September, so if anyone wants these 2 tickets at face value, please pm me. Gilly. (this must be the earliest re-sale of tickets!) OH DEAR! What was I thinking of????...

Re: PRESALE on March 28 to Ghent

Jarkko suggests we create an account before attempting to buy pre-sale tickets. Every time I click on the Sherpa site, I get a blank screen. What do I need to do? Don't want to be panicking in the morning, do I ? :D

LEONARD COHEN on BBC 4- 14th February, 8pm

"DUETS AT THE BBC" I recorded this programme, as it featured poplular 'romantic' duets by Sonny and Cher, Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton, Kris Kristofferson and Rita Coolidge, Neil Diamond and Shirley Bassey, Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush, and have just watched it. A whole hour of fabulous duets. AND, ...

If you go to www.allgigs.co.uk and buy tickets from 'gigantic' link, tickets are £17.50 and postal charges are £2.00. AND 10% of profits go to Oxfam.
Worth giving Ticketmaster and friends a miss?? :D
