Re: A Broken Hallelujah

Ah don't be nervous. It is our beloved Hallelujah being covered so much that really annoys us. Good luck on Sunday :D

Re: New leonardcohenforum.com group on Facebook

I have just set up a group on FB called "No more covers of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah!!!!", as we were discussing the song on another topic here & it is really starting to annoy me hearing all the dodgy covers & since there is groups for everything else on FB I decided to let our voice be heard! I'v...

Re: A Broken Hallelujah

That was painful to my ears....... I'm just after checking out Hallelujah FB pages & there is none actually calling for no more covers of this song. I'm gonna set up the page & put the link on our forum page on FB for all to join. I actually found a page calling for Leonard to stop ruining Jeff Buck...

Re: A Broken Hallelujah

Maybe we should create a Facebook page titled "No more covers of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah"! A guy I work with reckons Jeff Buckleys version is better than Leonards! I wasn't amused :?

They are brilliant photos!! I was wondering what the view from the flat seating would be like! I'm in row E for the Michael Jackson tribute Thriller live! Seeing your pics I can't wait now!

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Belfast, July 26

Glad to hear a good time was had by all. I must say I'm a little saddened that Len has left our little island for pastures new. I really hope he gets to return soon. Even 5 days later & a U2 concert later I still get a warm feeling when I think of Thursday nights gig :)

Re: CONCERT REPORTS: Dublin, July 19, 20, 22, 23

Excellent review, Musicmania. I hope you won't find it churlish if I make one correction. The song which Sharon sung solo was Boogie Street, not Everybody Knows - though you're right, she did co-write that song. Not churlish at all. I confess I was a little confused here as I was convinced I heard ...

Re: New leonardcohenforum.com group on Facebook

Thanks! Yeah it was amazing. I've just added photos from fridays gig to the facebook forum. I was lucky to get lots of good ones. For some reason though the pics added backwards. The one with the Irish Flag colors is at the start of the gig, not end!!!. Check out his expression on one from So Long, ...

Re: A Broken Hallelujah

I know. I was there & it was amazing. He came alive during that song & I feel so privileged to have been there. I wish some one had recorded So long Marianne last night too as that was also a mind blowing performance. There is a video on you tube of one of the other nights but having been there last...
