Re: CONCERT REPORT: Barcelona, September 21 (Leonard's birthday)

Barcelona was our first Leonard Cohen concert, an anniversary present to ourselves, we have been fans for many years. The whole evening was such a fantastic emotional experience that we didn't want it to end, but of course it had to. Even getting pickpocketed the next day in the Parc Guell did not ...

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Barcelona, September 21 (Leonard's birthday)

An old man sitting in my row appeared to be in floods of tears throughout the second half of the concert. I looked again carefully and noticed that the man was me. Leonard, thanks for the trouble you took. Manchester, Glastonbury, O2, Big Chill, Cardiff, Barcelona. What a wonderful description! Als...

Re: The final poster

I got the mosaic printed today in work as we have a dedicated print area. The largest they can do is a little bigger than A3 & I must say it looks AMAZING! I even managed 2 find a beautiful gold & blue edged frame which fits it almost perfectly! It has pride of place in my living room.

Re: The final poster

WOW! I've just seen the poster now as being incredibly busy (good busy) lately. It is absolutely BEAUTIFUL & I'm gonna get it printed tomorrow! I'm so honoured to be a part of it in celebration of our wonderful Leonard. Thank you so much for all you hard work Laura, Pam, Marie and Linda!

Re: New leonardcohenforum.com group on Facebook

One thing with both with Facebook and Twitter. Remember to set your security settings. Initially I did not. A couple of months ago it was a slow time at work and we were all "googling" our names. Well....first two things that popped up were Twitter......with every "tweet" I had ever done out there ...

Re: that's it

Hi Mazal, You asked about Dublin and the 4 concerts (plus 1 in Belfast and 3 in Dublin June 08 where he started his European tour) - Leonard has always loved Dublin, a great city of poets and writers. At the last concert in Dublin he thanked his Irish fans for keeping his music alive during the pas...

Re: that's it

Wikipedia isn't always right but you would never fit 30,000 on any pitch in the world. Here in Ireland at our Croke Park stadium we have a massive pitch, almost double the average size of a soccer pitch & for safety reasons there is a cap at 10,000. Anyway be it 50,000 or 74,000 that is pretty impre...

Re: CONCERT REPORTS: Dublin, July 19, 20, 22, 23

Jd, don't you think Leonard has gone way above and beyond the call of duty? He is almost 75 and deserves the rest of his life in comfort and happiness. He has given more than I or most have ever expected. Over a year ago... i was on tenderhooks wondering if I would get a ticket to just see him once...
