Re: Advance ticket booking for Files/Forum members

Well it's up on Ticketmaster they way they normally prelaunch events. I would be absolutely amazed if Ticketmaster are playing silly beggars, they are no doubt too busy for that kind of thing.
All the best

Re: Leonard Cohen: TOUR 2008

This is phenomenal news, Leonard Cohen to serenade us in the gardens beside the great solemn monument for our executed 1916 heroes that is the Kilmainham Jail. I told you all years ago it was a must visit when in Dublin, you can't miss it now. :-) I wonder will Leonard sing Kevin Barry for us again....

Re: Anjani in Tripod, Dublin.

Hi Red, Firstly I agree wholeheartedly on the Indo. There was no Q&A, the comment from the audience came as part of Anjani's attempt interact with them. The "Pillow" comment made me cringe, most of those present did not know her work and were drawn there by her relationship and the "Leonard Cohen pr...

Anjani in Tripod, Dublin.

Hi everybody, I hope you are all well. Helena and I went to see Anjani and her band on Friday night playing in Tripod. She was excellent. Anjani played all her Blue Alert tunes and included Smokey Life and Gypsy Life into her set. Both done to perfection with her wonderful chocolate voice and band. ...

Red Poppy is right, alcohol abuse in this country is rife and nobody is doing anything about it. The national anthem played at the end of the night is quaintly remeniscent of times past and no harm in a country where our past is being buried as fast as each generation can bury it. The western seaboa...

I am having great fun reading all your posts. It certainly seems as Dublin was a big success and not just for the shows. It was really great to see you all in the city for the event and can see from the wonderful photos everyone is posting that everyone got around quite a bit. Nice to see you all pu...

Well done, Gift, spot on, I concur with all you write on the first half. The best to come in part two. I have the set list and will post it later this weekend. Its a shame we never met while you were here, I had the pleasure of meeting most others three nights in a row, it turned out to be a mini ev...

I was there for the marathon of Leonard fest that was "Came so far" in Dublin also. I cannot wait for the second performance tonight. I must disagree with big-al. I though it was a fantastic night. Yes there were some performances that were less than perfect, principally Dear Heather by Laurie Ander...

Hi Ken, I thought Katryn was great in that documentary. I didn't knoiw she is a buddy of yours. Beautiful voice. Only recently did I come across my old Echo collection and popped it unto my MP3 player. I was a fair weather Echo fan, the cutter, killing moon, all the usual suspects, never getting in ...

Hi Margaret, The Dublin Pass is probably the best one to get. It gives you access to most attractions includes coach transfers from the airport to the city. Have a look at http://www.dublinpass.ie/dublinpass/ When you arrive in the airport, as you come out of baggage reclaim, there is a Tourist offi...

Sounds good Jammy,
What about the Harbour Master in the IFSC.
Might be an easier one to find for everybody.
Only 15 mins walk to the show from there.
