Drowning men

Here’s something that bothered me for some time. I wander if someone can make out more from it than me. ania, why don't you change the title of the thread into something more desciptive like: add your photo to the Leonard Cohen world map, or: let's make LC fan worldmap... i'm just saying that because some may not even look into a thread titled it's fun. i know i usualy don't. God knows what got into m...

oh, and i still haven't forgot the low, evil, under-the-belt attack on me when you used a poor first-time-poster to say: is this the right section for this post? when his post actualy WAS about LC. so much about my roughness and your 'subtle ways'... how did that innocent casulty feel? God, i don't ...

ooops, just a little thing about PLEASE thread you noticed! you said i hurt people's feelings, and Tom sided with me. well, what did you expect: 1. i was right (as you can see from the new section), 2. Tom and i discussed that we should perhaps say something about it several times before in person. ...

well, i always thoght that was more or less straight forward, one could say simple, poem. i could be wrong, though. i think the poet is sad that nothing lasts forever, and feelings are lost in time. he would like to leave something of him to the woman he once loved and her something of her to him. b...

and i often thought about the nature of light and visual art in similar fashion. white color is actualy all colors at once, as we all know. therefore - painting is not creating new ones, but rather taking away some. white sheet of paper is realy every possible combination of colors. all of the possi...

Interpretation we do all the time, not analysis. We interpret everything as it relates to ourselves. Analysis relates mainly to the intent of the writer. this is sort of pointless since we agree on the matter, but just for the sake of semantics... you do pick a meaning as it "relates mainly to the ...

I always hated analysing poetry. Or any kind of literature. It killed it stone dead, for me. hmmmm... reading is analysing. you take a few words and try to make sense out of them. you couldn't "not analysing" what you read even if you tried. try and look at some text and see it just like some black...

Re: PLEASE

i read somewhere that quoting your own posts is very narcistic, but i don't care. i have to make one thing clear: Let's not post about THIS IS SPAM!, Squidgy, Olympics, politics etc. here no more. i did not pick the threads i don't like here! i picked the top 4 topics at that time. the "politics" wa...

PLEASE

Please people, this is the News section. It is for: "News about new items, tv programs, tributes etc." - that is about LEONARD COHEN. Let's not post about THIS IS SPAM!, Squidgy, Olympics, politics etc. here no more. Some of us are uninterested in those matters, and besides, we have the C&Q section ...
