hunter_child:

The converter you are using (and I just stumbled upon it myself) is incorrect. With the recent changes in daylight savings, I am not shocked...

I am quite certain of that, given that I managed to get through the day without any problems after shifting all my clocks! :)

Re: Advance ticket booking for Files/Forum members

This is absolutely fantastic news! Thanks to Leonard for doing this! One question: if these tickets are non-transferable, does that mean that I have to sit alone in my fancy seat while my wife (who does not have her own account here) is stuck in the non-fancy tickets with 'the masses' ;-) ? Or can I...

Re: Leonard Cohen: TOUR 2008

Here is a desperate plea.... If anybody has heard any rumors regarding the dates for Ontario, Canada shows, please post them. I have to make some travel arrangements for early May and cannot wait until the announcement of tour dates on March 11! I assume it would follow the Maritimes, and thus shoul...

I tried to send the attachments, but got an error saying that .pdf files are not allowed.
Can this option be changed in the forum settings?

Re: Leonard Cohen: TOUR 2008

While waiting for this year's tour info, here is a ticket to one of the gigs in Leonard's first tour in 1970 (Andy Jones took it from eBay) Jarkko, you have just solved a mystery for me! During my time at Queen's University I was told by a friend about a ticket stub that was on display in one of th...

Re: Leonard Cohen: TOUR 2008

Another one emerges from lurkdom.... So after living in Canada for a couple of decades, and patiently awaiting a chance to see Leonard live, I am about to move to a whole new continent... A place where it is very unlikely Leonard will visit. I think this tour comes just in time for me, in fact I am ...

John Illsley covers First we Take Manhattan

Those familiar with Dire Straits (and those familiar with Leonard :) )should find this of interesting... John Illsley et al cover First we Take Manhattan at a live show last year in France. You can listen to it at the second link below - great version IMHO. Jarkko, I couldn't find it on the covers l...

Hi lizzytysh,

Yes, it was great to meet you (and others) in Toronto.
I opted for the unsigned catalogue, however I did end up ordering one of the prints :D ('still looking'). Can't wait for its arrival!

Re: www.leonardcohenart.com

Last night I returned from Toronto, where among other activities, I spent almost 4 hrs at the Drabinsky gallery (partly because I met a lot of the wonderful people from this forum). As is always the case with seeing art 'in the flesh', it makes all the difference being able to see it first hand as o...

I second Jarkko's reply. Don't spend a cent on them!

You can get better quality recordings of live shows for free from many people here. If you need help/advice, just pm me!

Re: Toronto gathering

Thanks for the reply Dick,

yes, unfortunately I had to settle for Saturday's opera, and I was too late to secure tix for the conversation.
But I will be at the gallery at or soon soon after opening, so I will perhaps seek you guys out.

Cheers,
pawel
