Re: The Monkey and a plywood violin

Think you were somewhere around Laurel Point or in that area. Very nice. Hi Diana, If you are right and the picture was taken out of a hotel room window then this answers another question that's been bugging me: Fred is traveling in the tour bus (or in someone's luggage) not tucked away in one of t...

Re: The Monkey and a plywood violin

Hey..Fred's friend... Looking at the second Victoria photo. Were you guys sequestered in the Days Inn or something like that?! I recognize the Sooke Hills, a bit of the inland waterway and the street outside...looks like Days Inn or Travelers Inn to me. Was everyone else in the Empress! I k...

Re: The Monkey and a plywood violin

Someone should be taking bets down...

Who? Who is the member of the band that is doing this? (we can see a glimpse of a finger in the San Diego photo) Any guesses?

It was a typo... corrected now and thanks for noticing.
The RIAA is, of course, the Recording Industry Association of America.

Re: leonardcohen.groupee.com/forum--??

There are many fan forums out there. I'm not sure what about that particular forum seems infringing to you; if it's the use of the name "Leonard Cohen", that probably falls under "fair use". (Think about it: if no one is allowed take the name in vein then anyone blogging about a concert, a book, a p...

Re: "Leonard Cohen Live in London" - DVD & 2CD - April 2009

Here in the US, my copy of the CD shipped from Amazon.com yesterday (March 30) and arrived today. :D :D :D
I will get the DVD after the concert (tickets for May 11). It seems to me that I will enjoy both the concert and the DVD more in this order.

Yes, there was some ugliness, but look: in most web forums once the hate is ignited it burns like a brush-fire until threads are locked, restrictions are imposed and with time tempers cool and fights are forgotten. But not here! Just in case you have missed this thread: http://www.leonardcohenforum....

Re: The promoter is scamming us

People! we should all sympathize with those who could not get the tickets they expected. Just Imagine how immensely frustrating that must be. I was able to get good tickets through the pre-sale and for that I am greatful. I have been waiting for this opportunity for twenty two years and I don't want...

Ahem... the "shed" is a Frank Gehry theater and the acoustics are phenomenal. :)

Re: Columbia, Md. - May 11

Be interesting to see what seats will become available further on  . It gets worse... right now Center Floor AAA seats (yes, that's front row reserved) are available at the VIP package price ($549 each). I would have seriously considered these had they been available this am. Still choosing t...

Brightnow, What can I say, I'm addicted and have been for a long time. Every show is special. Best regards, Mary I wish my circumstances would have allowed me to see as many concerts... hats off to you. I have been waiting for this miracle for 22 years (and that is, still, more than half my life). ...

Re: Columbia, Md. - May 11

I had exactly the same observation: it was jumping around all over the place. The only explanation I can think of: a lot (and it would have to be hundreds if not thousands) of people were hitting the site at the same time and "holding" tickets for the initial 2:15min period. Those were getting relea...

Re: $250 tickets?

I got the $175 level ("Level 2") at Columbia, MD. No $250 yet.
(For this concert the VIP package does not seem to get you better seating than level 2 at this point)

I paid $175+$20.80 (ticketmaster fee) for two seats, price level 2, center section row R Merriweather Post Pavilion is a great amphitheater, you can see exactly where your seats are here: http://www.eventprocess.com/BrokerMaps/MerriweatherPostPavillionGAFloor_all.gif http://www.eventprocess.com/Brok...
