unique video with crowd serenading LC

thought people might enjoy this--from 1973 israeli concert, the crowd serenades LC with a popular tune "Haveinu Sholom Aleichem" before LC does a fine version of "That's no way to say goodbye"

Re: Krakow Event Registration

on this site, you are crazy only if you attend at least seven (7) Leonard Cohen concerts.

at fourteen (14) concerts, you qualify as insane.

at twenty (20), the men in white suits come to cart you away (sorry, bonnie, but you know it's true!)

Re: Leonard Reviewed in New Hampshire

I think sometimes things can be overanalyzed. In my view, what makes (most of) LC's recorded songs so good and his concerts so amazing is the total package of everything--I'm not saying ignore the lyrics but some of them probably don't really much anything at all. I was just reading Joan Baez's disc...

Re: An Evening with... Madison Square Garden

hi trish, the spectrum is a little out of downtown philly but not really of town and not far from downtown. LC is giving three hour concerts--worth staying thru the last encore--so things will not let out until about 11 p.m. i'm planning to stay in philly that night, partly because hotels are a lot ...

Re: Favorite LC song RIGHT NOW

i've been much entranced by "light as a breeze" lately; aside from LC version, there's a great version by Billy Joel on the "Tower of Song" tribute album--and I usually don't much care for arrangements by others. i've been listening to Dear Heather for the first time in a long time...and don't like ...

Re: An Evening with... Madison Square Garden

good decision trish.

philly to nyc is really a snap--one of the few regions in the u.s. where there is decent train connections!

as you probably know already if you've been to LC concerts, your Irish eyes are going to be smiling in a couple of months!

Re: Question about writing Leonard Cohen

Dear Jarkko, Thanks for all of your work on this site. I'm looking forward to four of the Fall, 2009 concerts in the US. It's certainly very understandable that LC would not have time to write his fans while touring! My sense is that this tour has been a great experience for him as well as for his l...

Re: An Evening with... Madison Square Garden

$30 reference was to cost of cheapest philly tickets--even amtrak train tickets between nyc & philly are no doubt far less than $30 and you can also get there via cheap new jersey commuter rlrd.

Re: St Louis Concertgoers

there is light rail transport in st. louis now which serves the airport, downtown and the theater area. i stayed downtown there recently (for a springsteen concert) and there is absolutely no problem at all in terms of safety. i got a four-star hotel for about $60 downtown thru priceline (something ...

Re: Ticketmaster/Mastercard Suggestions

Hey Mary B, I was going to offer to take those extra tickets off your hands (without charge!!) if you'd only cover my flight and hotel fees--oh well!! Greetings to Fred! Bob from Ann Arbor P.S. Comfix in Philly makes Ticketmaster look good! Saw Van Morrison last night in D.C.: Leonard is still tops!
