Re: Which Hallelujah is the Highest (The Guardian article)

I only like it when LC sings it personally, only he really knows how to emphasise the right words as it comes from his own emotion. Other versions like Rufus try to hard and the vocal is too OTT, whereas LC puts just the right amount of emotion in that is needed to bring to life his great lyrics.

Re: A DVD from world tour?

I really hope there will be one and even some live tracks on a new cd if not a full live album. It would bring back great memories :)

Re: July 2008 performances of Glass' Book of Longing in Europe

I couldn't have said all of this better lost lyric - I will sign that petition for Leonard to record his poetry as spoken word for sure. I'm like you I don't think you can beat hearing the person who wrote the words reciting/singing them. Even if it is a 'beautiful voice' another person never seems ...

Re: Return to UK/Europe festivals in 2009?

I liked the The Big Chill performance in a different way as it was lovely to see the sunset in the sky(music and nature belong together) and the fireworks and big warm fire also all those people who weren't fans who all sang together to Hallelujah and So Long, Marianne - it was beautiful(and more th...

Re: Manchester 18/06/2008 *VINE* (CD Recording)

Hi all,

I'd love a copy of his recent live performance as love his voice even more now.

I'm willing to copy and send on to another person. Is there any chance of still doing this? If you PM I can give you my address detail etc...

Hi there Diane :) Yep maybe I should change my login name to 'don'tshakesweetheart' lol! I like you prefer black and white, as those were taken for a photo agency they had to be colour. I did however convert some to B&W for printing(to put in my frame with autograph) I might add them to my 2nd Flick...

Re: How bout the USA?

Well we've also been wishin' and hoping LC would make it to San Francisco, but just in case he doesn't make it, we decided to go to Berlin in October. Probably the craziest thing we've ever done, but worth it, I'm sure. It'll be more than worth it - enjoy! I've been abroad to see favourite artists ...

Re: New Date - LONDON O2 - November 14th!

I'm in 102 row X, I was in 111 row U on July 17th - they are a good area from my experience at the Prince gigs last year. Sound ok, tiered so you can see the stage and the screens. Anyone else in 102? When I went alone on July 17th I wasn't a forum member but would be great to meet some of you next ...

Great description Paula, exactly how I feel about him on stage and his unfortunate situation with Kelley. Last night ...
