Adam Shalom, It sounds like you had a unique experience! I don't think you missed much by not going to the south , unless you are really keen about the desert. Btw , I think O. Levi meant they stayed at Hatzor - the air force base , not Kibbutz Hatzor. Happy new year to you too and to everyone else...
