Re: Manchester shows

if for some reason a gig was cancelled and we had bought tickets from ebay,is it possible to get a refund? That's a tricky one. We obviously offer refunds for cancelled gigs (or, if the gig has just been resheduled, the tickets remain valid for the new date), but the refund will go back into the ac...

Re: Manchester shows

Once again, thanks ptn. I never noticed btw, are you going to see the man? Would have loved to, but price was a bit steep for a student like me :-) Got to live the excitement tho, as I was getting tickets for my Mum and her friends - 'I've been waiting to see him for my whole life!' No pressure the...

Re: Manchester shows

I'm really glad some of my advice has been of help! I know how frustrating Ticketmaster's systems can be, so I like to give any advice I can :) A further note on the eBay touts - eBay requires that all event ticket listings give the original face value of the tickets (in this case, £75 or £50). You ...

Re: Manchester shows

Congrats to all those who got tickets. For those who didnt, a few tips: Call on the phone and ask to see if there are any restricted view tickets available. The website doesn't offer these, but you can get them over the phones and the restriction is often minimal. Chances are, these have been sold b...

Re: Manchester shows

I've just tried a dry run for Manchester, pretending I want a top-price ticket for Evita, and it was worse than random. After I rejected a ticket and tried again, five times it offered me the same ticket again: A26 - in the front row but way over to the left. The website booking runs on a best-avai...

Re: Manchester shows

what do you think is the best way - online or at the agent in Leeds???? That store is only open at 10 on a Monday. It says they open at 9 on Tue-Sat, so they should be okay for getting tickets. The advantage of a ticket centre is it's like being face to face with a call center agent. What they have...

Re: Manchester shows

ptn, anywhere in Leeds that would have the TicketMaster 'pot' of tickets? Apparently there is a ticket centre in Leeds. Info is halfway down the page here: http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/etc/northeast.html Glad I could be of service to you guys. I know how crap it can be to miss out on an artist you...

Re: Manchester shows

I wouldn't worry too much about this because they are selling tickets for Bruce Springsteen priced at £193.45 each (standing) and I saw these at Ticketmaster last night at £55. So I think they are just fishing to see if anyone would pay that much...then they would buy at less than that....and send ...

Re: Manchester shows

Can you clarify - I have an option to que at a box office ( Sunderland empire) is my local one. Once I get to the front would they have an allocation there or do they pick from a central pot - What I am trying to find out is how are the best seats ( say stall seats allocated to Ticketmaster or the ...

Re: Manchester shows

is it better to book online or in person at the palace theatre? i'm thinking of doing the latter........... If you can be at the front of the queue at 10am, then booking in person will probably be quickest, as you will be straight at the point of sale, rather than trying to get through on the webpa...

Re: Manchester shows

One last thing I forgot to mention (and I don't want to seem like some dodgy advertising rep here) - Ticketmaster do offer a 'priority' membership which allows you to get through to the call centre staff quicker. I remember being on the phones and being shown stats that showed that priority memebers...

Re: Manchester shows

I'm afraid i don't know why the 19th isn't on sale tomorrow. I don't work in the accounts department so the info I get is somewhat second hand. I've heard it has something to do with an offer for Guardian readers, so it is worth checking the Guardian for info. The main numbers for Ticketmaster are: ...

Re: Manchester shows

Tickets for Manchester are going onsale at 10am for definite. All other venues are going on at 9am. All dates are going onsale apart from the 19th. I dunno when this will go onsale, but we are being told to direct enquiries to the MIF (Manchester International Festival) website. Ticket prices will b...
