Re: Leonard to light the Olympic Flame?

I agree with all the enthusiasm for any recognition given Leonard. Nevertheless I need to comment on all the Olympic hype that has escalated through the years...an annual amateur athletic competition that has turned into an entertainment spectacle. Celine Dion, Oprah, Canadian Four Tenors  (? ...

Re: Isle of Wight release (Oct 20) - all details

I was at Cinema Village this evening, seeing this for first time. It is simply mesmerizing on the big screen, and I recommend this to everyone, even if you get the DVD for yourself. Intimately filmed, and I am glad it wasn't any longer, was just right. I thought about how just a couple of years late...

Entire Feb. 19 Beacon Theater NYC show on radio

NPR is broadcasting the entire Beacon Theater show on program "Evening Music" 8pm Sat. March 7(....I'm listening to tonight's program(including Judy Collins singing Cohen songs) and just heard the announcer mention tomorrow night's show. (I am 99% sure he just said the whole thing would be...

Re: Transportation from Airport to Beacon Theatre

You can do different things depending on how much time you have and how much you want to spend.... Taxi of course, which will be the priciest. (yellow cabs) There are also livery cabs(private companies), generally a little cheaper. --------------------------------------------------------------------...

Re: Pre and Postconcert Meetups

Westside Brewery is either closed or undergoing some renovation that doesn't look too close to finishing, it's all boarded up on the outside. I forgot to mention, there's a place called the Shark Bar right next to Candle Bar, so maybe the pool players in the group can head over to Candle....both the...

Re: Pre and Postconcert Meetups

Hello everyone, I am a New Yorker, and am very lucky to have gotten two pairs of tickets. Am going with two friends and my son. I went alone to Montreal in June for the first of the concerts there, a present to myself. And now with loved ones, it's too perfect. From what I'm reading, his energy and ...

Re: Special Concert in New York

I feel extremely fortunate, was able to get four tickets during the presale for myself, son, and two friends. I attended the June 23 concert in Montreal solo, and didn't expect to get this opportunity for myself and loved ones to see him together. It's all too wonderful. I am wondering: I would like...

Re: Summary of pre-sale

Jarrko has emphasized that pre-sale starts at 2pm, with password available at 1:30. Hey Jarrko, could you send some signals to Ticketmaster to end this confusion with sale starting at 12? I sure hope they're not actually going to sell tickets to anyone, without password at that time, would defeat th...

Re: Happy Holidays - from Leonard

I had the great fortune to be in a front center seat for the June 23 Montreal concert. As many have described, it was magical. This was my fourth time seeing Leonard(others being in NYC, starting with the Bottom Line many moons ago) I visit Montreal regularly, and have sat in Parc du Portugal's shad...
