Re: Third concert in Dublin

Well at least he's taking the Tuesday off!! Unless he is going to pop over to Galway for the Arts Festival! He must be rewarding Ireland for voting him best International Live Act 2008! Also I see Live In London is in the Irish Top Ten. When he first annouced that he was touring again last year who ...

Re: Hallelujah on UK X-Factor (all threads merged here)

Anybody see Charlie Brookers Screenwipe show on BBC recently? When talking about the X- Factor Brooker made a remark about X Factor winner Alexandra Burke's cover of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah, he claimed it is "ruined forever as a song destined to be played at thick people's funerals". Ha...

Re: Hallelujah on UK X-Factor (all threads merged here)

I don't know about anyone else, but I am fed up with all these articles and reports appearing that keep saying Leonard is going to be "laughing all the way to the bank!" Correct me by all means if I have the wrong end of the stick but as I understand it as he sold all the rights to his so...

Re: Manchester, November 30

I'm baffled by the posts about people being kicked out of restaurants and bars before they were ready to leave. Were you all in the same group? If so, what had you done to upset the staff? it's not a problem I've ever come across in Manchetser. The pub we were in at about 6.00 pm - closed the doors...

Re: Hallelujah to be winner's song on UK X-Factor

On the Word Magazine's website: http://www.wordmagazine.co.uk/content/christmas-number-one-we-need-take-action-now People debating one person's suggestion that everyone download Leonard's version so that THAT goes to number 1 instead! If you're not familiar with it, The Word is a very fine magazine...

Re: Find, sell or swap Fall Tour tickets here

Hi, I have going spare two very good Manchester tickets. Block A row P 7&8 . My wife and I are travelling over from Ireland to see the Man (third time on the tour) so we wont have the tickets in our hand until the day when we pick them up at the box office ( we're in the same block) They are ava...

The new password is the name of the person whose legs are white from the winter.

Excellent - Well Done Jarkko!

Sold out already. What have I done to be punished so?!
Keep on trying - it took me several attempts and about 15 mins before I got seats - Block A Row J.

I cant see that the MEN will sell out anyway but this is a generous offer at a chance for decent seats

Re: NEW: MANCHESTER NOV 30 - WITH SPECIAL TICKETS TO MEMBERS

It's all an outrageous sham.... I prefer to see the glass as half full not half empty ... many of us were able to get decent seats in the front blocks. I am sure that when ticketmaster sell tomorrow the seats will not be as good. It is more of concern that people came to the site and then immediate...

Re: Dublin Dates The O2

When booking tickets does anyone know if it is possible to choose your seats? The 'Best Available' as deemed by ticketmaster wouldn't necessarily be where you might pick of the available seats. Looking at the seating chart those marked in blue at yellow to the extreme right and left would seem to b...

Re: SPECIAL TICKETS FOR MEMBERS TO SEVERAL UK SHOWS

Jarkko, many thanks for putting further temptation in our way. Helen and I are off to Cardiff - got seats in Block 1, Row F. I got Block 1 Row F seats 1&2, so I should be quite close by! I can't wait, thanks again to all concerned! Row F is the place to be that night! - We're Just a couple of s...

Re: SPECIAL TICKETS FOR MEMBERS TO SEVERAL UK SHOWS

Seatwave have Leonard Cohen prominently displayed on their website too, and, if I understand their operation correctly, this is a good thing. I'm not sure its that good ... they put a good spin on it and ok it guarantees money back if you dont get your tickets but its still a tout site. They are'nt...

Re: Dublin Dates The O2

200 euros? I thought the prices last time round were expensive. Having now seen the earlier shows there is no way I would part with that sort of cash to see another one  (even if there were some new songs!) Margaret I think the 200 euro price must be tout site prices as there has been...
