If any of you are still following this thread, I'm pleased to let you know that Bob Metzger recorded an album with Massachusetts band Shotgun Waltz called Shifting Gears. His guitar work on it is as good as it gets and, in my opinion, ranks as one of the great guitar records of all time. *Maybe* not...
