Some Cohen-esque music

I heard them both on the radio. "Rain" by Martin Stephenson and The Daintees https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9w-Ft9pP8kM This one is also beautiful, yet I think rather pretty brazenly, as it's just another lyrics to the tune of "One Of Us..." - I don't know if it's a kind of tribute or just, well......

Re: New 1970-1971 recordings available on Apple Music

I just can refrain the words of pe swijngedouw - Thank you so much, dear Maarten!
It's the best Christmas surprise I could get this (very straining) year.

Thanks for your instant alertness and gratitude! This really made my year.

All the best for you,
Dennis

This is such a great find Maarten!

Thanks so much for your efforts. I am very much hoping someone with the right country rights is able to download these albums.

Kind regards,
Same is with me. I can't download them either, here from Germany. :(

Re: Waiting For The News To Come

Dear Jarkko, I can understand your feelings, yet- as already been stated several times now by some members, I don't think any of us was really somehow well, let's say "greedy", to get even more new posthumous material, at least not in a kind of disrespecting way (the thoughts on that Blues album and...

Re: I thought I saw an eagle!

I knew that story about those eagles' practice reminded me on something: In 455 BC, Aeschylus, the great playwriter known as the Father of Greek Tragedy, died in a most unexpected way. He was said to have been killed by a tortoise which was dropped by an eagle that had mistaken his head for a rock s...

Re: NOW THE COUNTDOWN: Waiting For The News To Come

TA-DA!!!! 6 - 6 - 6 - 6 - 6 - 6 !!! Who will miss this period of waiting and anticipation?? I certainly will! (...) but look at all the ideas we just MIGHT be giving Robert Kory, in case he's interested in what other directions he could go with other projects and have our seal of approval. Indeed! ...

Re: NOW THE COUNTDOWN: Waiting For The News To Come

Ten More Days of Patience. Well put! Quite alike another mile of silence the line that always strikes me. Me too. -- It makes me feel like composing a little rough text about it all. (Sorry, I guess it will be rough and sketchy, rather a kind of doggerel, but nonetheless heartfelt and honest): Ten ...

Tomorrow is 10 years since Lissadell. Just saying. And wishing....
Indeed.

And also don't forget the Double Event of 2010:

Mr. Leonard Cohen being inducted into the Songwriters' Hall of Fame
and also achieved a "Lifetime Achievement Award" at the Grammys.

Re: Where were you the first time you heard Leonard Cohen?

It was in 1998 when I came home from school and my mum sat in her comfy chair, listening to "Last Year's Man". I heard this voice, this music and I couldn't but stand there in the hall - still in my jacket and shoes- listening, completely mesmerized. When it was over I went to my mum's room and aske...
