First Aid Kit - Who by Fire
Nice looking blue double vinyl release from First Aid Kit packed full of Leonard Cohen covers. I believe they are recordings from the tribute concert they did back in 2017 but I might be wrong. I haven’t managed to attach any information about it, if you head over to First Aid Kit website all the in...

Re: A Leonard Cohen Song Quiz
Excellent quiz I took the approach of meticulously listening to each album in turn, reacquainting myself with songs that had fallen off my radar and learning things I did not know. Great way to spend a week especially in the current climate. Would it be greedy to ask for another quiz in the near fut...

Thanks for the Dance, album of the day in BBC 6 music. A joy to hear Leonard coming out of my radio.

I held it together until about half through It’s Torn but now I’m a blubbering mess. Stunning album.

Re: "Thanks for the dance" - the new album
Hi What’s happened to the lovely notebook and postcards in the album bundles for the uk? Will I have to order them from the U.S site? I hope not. Just been stung with expensive postal handling charges on the stamps I ordered from Canada. Someone decided to send each item individually packaged incurr...

Re: The MAC Exhibition for LC to go to New York, Copenhagen, San Francisco
I have Google translated this from the latest newsletter from Kunstforeningen GL STRAND. I have already booked my flights and will miss all of the talks but still look forward to revisiting this fantastic exhibition. It is now under a month before the long-awaited exhibition Leonard Cohen: A Crack i...

Re: Marianne & Leonard: Words of Love, film by Nick Broomfield
I too enjoyed the documentary last night. Totally agree with John’s review but would go a step further and say I’m not sure who the film is aimed at. Apart from the small amount of unseen footage of Marianne and as John pointed out the interview with Aviva Layton there is nothing I have not seen or ...

I’m not sure if this has been posted before. A nice little piece anyway.

Re: Matters of Vital Interest: A Forty-Year Friendship with Leonard Cohen
Already on second read, this book is wonderful. Buddhism, red wine, snacks, ice lollies and a deep and lasting friendship, perfect.
My only wish is that I was sat at that table in Tremaine too.

Re: Tony Palmer releases 1972 concert footage on DVD
Hi
In fairness I didn’t ask for dates or timelines. To be honest I didn’t expect a reply at all!
I am happy to wait if the end result is new glorious footage of Leonard.

Re: Tony Palmer releases 1972 concert footage on DVD
Hi All Direct from the horses mouth. I sent a cheeky email direct asking if it was still going a head. Tony has very kindly said I can post his response here. Thanks. Ah, I assumed you were from the Pledge Music organisation. I'm afraid you'll just have to be a bit patient. It's definitely coming. A...
