Re: never-ending gallery

Geoffrey, I love that you have honored Adam! Of course we all appreciate the work he did for his dad on the past couple albums, but I have been listening to Adam's "We Go Home" for its own sake. I keep listening over and over and over again, because it is life going on. I am hoping for another album...

There is no other! I have seen another version but although it was in color, it paled in comparison. ;-)

.....older films focusing on human relationships are watched regularly, tirelessly: 'rebecca', 'wuthering heights', 'gone with the wind', 'tomorrow is forever' - that type of thing... Hi Geoffrey and Curt (always a pleasure) For some reason, your thread is one I have ended up following here (...4?)...

Re: LC's Favourite Books

Thank you for sharing this B4! I noticed the article said that "prior to his death in 2016 at 82, Leonard was reading prolifically", yet the article was siting a list he had made "years earlier". Athough I admire the list (anyone who knows Irving Layton's "The Bull Calf" can understand Leonard's inf...

Re: Polly Samson's novel about Hydra in the 60s (and David Gilmour's perfoming Cohen songs)

Hello B4! I loved the article you shared. I remember talking to a shop owner across the lane from Roloi's where we stopped to purchase a mask and snorkel. When I told him how awesome I thought it would be to live there, he responded that I should! When I answered something along the lines of 'easier...

Re: Polly Samson's novel about Hydra in the 60s (and David Gilmour's perfoming Cohen songs)

I have just finished A Theatre For Dreamers and I was quite sad to reach the end. I have been pining for Hydra since our trip last June. Polly's book transported me back there as surely as if I was smelling the ripe scent of jasmine in our courtyard and tasting the dust of sea salt on our skin. Than...

Re: Along the way... Discovering Leonard's albums

Sorry for my above typos... I was writing with my grandchild on my lap. Which by the way, we were listening to Georges Dor's La Manic as I fed him his bottle, and he loved it! Proving that he is already wise beyond his years at 3 months!

Re: Along the way... Discovering Leonard's albums

Yes, thank you for further info on The Night of Santiago! I remember commenting to Dave when I first heard it that it was a very sexy song for a man in his eighties to write (and he has Leonard to thank, that I will expect no less from him when we are older, lol). I was about to look up how old Lorc...
