Re: CONCERT REPORT: LG Arena, Birmingham UK - Sunday 8 Septe

Agree with everything you say. A long time ago, though, I learned that it is the ART that matters - I don't really give a hang for the person who produces the art, their corporate backers, or the feelings of the rest of their audience. The concert experience in these venues is rarely a great one, e...

Re: CONCERT REPORT: LG Arena, Birmingham UK - Sunday 8 Septe

the Royal Albert Hall in 2008 was a night so sublime that I stopped going to concerts for the next 4 years to avoid having to compare other dross with that 'peak experience' Andrew It is a great shame that you have let your feelings about all these other issues get in the way of your enjoyment of L...

Re: CONCERT REPORT: LG Arena, Birmingham UK - Sunday 8 Septe

After last night, I thought I'd share some of the disappointment I feel about having to 'let Leonard go' after all these years. From the overt corporate horror of AEG's agenda becoming visible at The 02 Arena in '08, to the ongoing problems of the "silent one" over events at Mount Baldy, t...

Re: Big Chill (Aug 3)

Truncated set due to festival running order. Didn't come on til gone 9, rather than 8:30 as previously suggested. Sadly, this meant no 'If It Be Your Will'...! No 'Boogie Street', 'Democracy' or 'A Thousand Kisses Deep' either. Very few band introductions. A real sense of urgency to make the best us...

Re: Autumn Tickets: Auction Rip-Off. Live Music RIP.

In my defence, I' d just like to say - I've had a fantastic time sitting with 'The Common People' in Manchester, E'bro and London, but: Enough Is Truly Enough. The fact that the best seats for the Autumn 08 UK shows are 'immediately available' on 'auction' at Ticketmaster, but NOT for general purcha...

Re: Sharon Robinson joins the band!

I'm delighted to hear Sharon will be part of the band. I wonder if Sharon and Anjani will perform one of their solo songs as part of the performance? I'm just wondering how long the set will last - and how Leonard's vocal chords will stand up to the rigours of touring after all these years. It might...

Re: Chill!

msg 2 henders74 & 'annie from scotland': The Big Chill has been a seriously superb event for several years. Yes: it's getting bigger and may be ruined, but if you fancy a trip to the Midlands, you get to see Leonard in a superb setting with about 125 support acts! Decent seats in London and Dubl...

Re: Pre-Sale Tickets (from Ticketmaster)

This is an unfortunate situation which happens every time a popular artist tries to reach a live audience these days. Artists are invited to tour by promotors and have to accept the booking arrangements offered by the promotion company. Everyone wants a slice of the action, but the Artist and the Au...

Re: Amsterdam, Westerpark: Optimists!

'Verzekering' / Insurance in this case is really not necessary. It just means that when you're all of a sudden pregnant, you can get your money back. Or dead. Or your car was stolen which you needed to drive to the concert. Or when your marriage went seriously downhill. So unless you expect somethi...

You can just click for English Translation!

At the home page, you can change to full English script! :!:

From my visits there, it seems many Dutch citizens speak English better than most people I know in the UK!

Re: Amsterdam, Westerpark, July 12

My order went straight through, no problem! Printing off the Ticketfast PDF now. Kind of reassuring to have it all done and dusted rather than waiting for ticket from Belgium, the postal service in England seemingly on the verge of collapse. At least where I live!

Re: Bruges Cactus Tickets on sale now

Chubi, many thanks for the TGV info. I'm looking forward to my Trans-Europe Express adventure to see L.C!

Dublin seems very expensive, but then: Ireland is one of the richest countries in the world. So it goes!

Re: Sharon's new album & streaming audio!

Dear Sharon! Do I like it? LOL! As posted on your new website: From your guestbook archive, I found these comments I made long ago: "Dear Sharon, your contributions to Dear Heather are exquisite. Will there ever be an album of your own work to enjoy? Thanks for the trance-like beauty of your me...
