Re: Tampa Meetup
As a Tampa resident, I suggest Fly Bar & Restaurant which is a few blocks walking distance to the Straz Theatre. We often go there before shows, park, dine, and walk over to the Straz. Has a rooftop bar, weather permitting. Nice way to avoid traffic in the exodus, too.

Re: PRESALE TO ALL CONCERTS (Except NY) ON TUESDAY (Jan 15)
Regarding the Tampa concert at the Straz Center: I spoke to the Straz Center ticket office last week and today: * Straz Center is the only ticket vendor; Ticketmaster etc. is not selling tickets for the Tampa concert. * Straz Center is not aware of the pre-sale at this time. * Leonard's concert is n...

Re: Please post setlists of the Fall 2009 Tour in USA here!!!
Leonard's concert in Tampa was exquisite. If my memory serves, the setlist was identical to the one for the Ft. Lauderdale concert with the exception that in Tampa Leonard performed Chelsea Hotel in lieu of (and in the same position as) Hey, That's No Way To Say Goodbye.

Re: New venue in Tampa!
Hi Tampa Concert-Goers: I talked to David at The Fly (813-275-5000) about the open-air roof-top deck. The Fly (http://flybarandrestaurant.com/tampa/)is located at 1202 N. Franklin, about two blocks east and two blocks south from Morsani Hall. This is a comfortable walk and the route does not go thro...

Re: New venue in Tampa!
Headless, thanks for the tip on The Hub...I forgot about that interesting place and think its another good option for a late meet-up of Leonard's fans. I'll post what I learn about the need for reservations for the roof-top deck at The Fly...I doubt they're required for a post 11 pm gathering, but w...

Re: New venue in Tampa!
Is it just my crazy imagination or does anyone else perceive a beautifully apt quality in the shape of the Morsani seating plan...? http://www.tbpac.org/welcome/venues/plan_cmh_new.pdf. I like to vision Leonard and group and their perfect offering will complete the "unity" on 10/19....

Re: New venue in Tampa!
Lizzy, No worries...the number 12 refers to the door through which you will enter the theatre from the lobby area. You have great seats in the fourth row. Enjoy!

Re: New venue in Tampa!
As a Tampa native, I previously posted (in the other LC Forum thread about the "Tampa Concert Layout Change") about various possible options for pre- and post-concert meeting places. As I said before, those options, especially afterwards, are limited due to the late hour and Tampa being a ...

Re: New venue in Tampa!
Donalagata: I received an email notification from Ticketmaster Customer Service at 11:45 am today telling me about the venue change and my replacement tickets. The subject heading of the email is "Important Alert for Leonard Cohen". You can believe that got my immediate attention!

Re: New venue in Tampa!
Wow...here I am in Tampa and I'm the last to find out about this change in venue! This is fantastic! Morsani Hall is just beautiful with great acoustics; in a word, its classy and befits Leonard. And just as Jarkko said, the location of my new seats is nearly identical to the original locatio...

Re: Tampa Concert Layout Change?
Lizzy: At the Toronto concert, all of the merchandise sold out before the concert and nothing was left by the time I got there... I'm going to play it safe this time and try to get to the merchandise table before the show! I'm hoping for a Unified Heart keyring or coffee mug. 8) By the way, I ...

Re: Tampa Concert Layout Change?
Hi Lizzy and Tampa-bound friends: The good thing about being a "local" is that I won't have to travel so far to see Leonard this time (we went all the way to Toronto to see the 6/6/08 concert); the bad thing is that I won't get to travel and therefore won't be able to escape the grip of my...
