Adam Cohen: The Man Comes Around [No Depression Profile]

It's been a little while since I last posted here... I don't see where this has been posted before, so I thought I would do so here. Last year I had the pleasure of interviewing Adam Cohen on behalf of No Depression for a profile I wrote on him and Like A Man . http://www.nodepression.com/profiles/b...

Re: The Fall Tour 2009 in USA

Before this tour and attending the concert at the Beacon, I used to think I'd never have the pleasure of seeing Leonard in concert in my lifetime. And after the Beacon show, I thought that, perhaps, that was my once-and-for-all dream come true. And now he books a concert in Tampa, literally 20 minut...

Re: new review of Sharon Robinson's album

Thanks so much for the kind words, Lizzy. When I attended the Beacon concert (my first and only LC show as of now), I was really blown away by Ms. Robinson, especially when she sang "Boogie Street." I had the pleasure of interviewing her a few weeks after that night (that's on my blog as w...

I met Huey Lewis (sans the News) after one of his concerts. That guy was funny. Or drunk. Or a combination of both.

Yeah, he and his son took the subway. One other guy seemed to realize who he was, but no one mentioned anything to him about it. Robbins talked to the few of us around him on the train about the show, though. Nice guy.

And here I was a bit daunted at having rode the subway back to Times Square with Tim Robbins after the show. OK, you win. :D

Re: Hello, I'm new to this forum...

Like some others, I'm relatively new to posting in this forum, but I'm neither a new visitor to this wonderful site nor to Leonard's work. What I am new to, however, is seeing Cohen in concert, which I'm thrilled to be doing for the first time on Thursday night. I'm flying in from Florida, staying i...

Re: Transportation from Airport to Beacon Theatre

If money isn't too big an issue, I would just take a cab (should run $40-$50 with tip). That way, you're not dependent on other passengers (as in a shuttle bus) or the schedules of the various other transportation services.

Re: Summary of pre-sale

I'm curious as to how far back in the orchestra the $125 tickets begin.

I'm hoping to attend the concert and I'll be flying from Florida to do so, which, depending on airfare and hotel costs, may prevent me from being able to purchase a $250 ticket.

Any insight would be most appreciated.
