But here is how I feel: You got me singing, Lenny You got me singing, Lenny Even though the news is bad You got me singing The only song I ever had You got me singing Ever since the river died You got me thinkin...

Re: All YouTube & Multimedia Links (and nothing else)

Re: What Other Artists Have You Seen Live (since 2000)?
Very interesting reading all of y'all's posts. Unfortunately, I'm not that much of a concert person because the surroundings at concerts usually are not very amenable for a clear and distinct experience. The concerts am proud of having seen recently: Dylan, Bo Diddley(las Vegas), JJ Walker, Hal Ketc...

Re: Artists similar to Leonard Cohen
In a number of aspects: John Hiatt. In fact, I'm surprised he hasn't been mentioned yet(but then he doesn't seem to be well known at all, undeservedly).

Re: Just a Leonard Cohen quote
I do love this quote by LC. I have to admit, however, that I do buy the latest version of reality. It's what is.

' I saw a beggar leaning on his wooden crutch.
He said to me "you must not ask for so much".
And a pretty woman leaning in her darkened door.
She cried to me "hey, why not ask for more?" '

Just a Leonard Cohen quote
This quote accidently fell into my lap today and it made my day:
' As you get older, you get less willing to buy the latest version of reality'

Re: How were you first introduced to the words of Leonard Cohen?
Hi Cate I read your post and some of the others and I want to write you a response. Reasons for that are that I have enough time on my hands, I love lc and he has enriched my life for so many years, I love Canada and I probably have somewhat of a carmic debt to Canada... :) I first heard of lc while...

Re: Leonard Cohen: TOUR 2008
What a great day! I've been waiting for this for many years... I first discovered LC in 1969 ,I believe, while growing up in Switzerland. I got hold of a vinyl LP(of course...) that was multi-colored and a collection of American underground music. The first song was 'time has come today' by the cham...
