Re: Popular Problems - First Impressions

I have spent the last 10 days listening to the album, my first time through I was not sure at all, some good, some not good, I particularly did not like the new rendering of 'Born in Chains' compared to the version sung at Lille. I was so unsure, I did not play it the rest of the day. However the mo...

Re: CONCERT REPORTS: Paris September 28, 29, 30, 2012

@Albert Regarding the ushers : They dont earn much money and they asked politely for a tip, which is not uncommon in France. Who would leave an American diner without tipping the waitress !! No one that I saw was asked for a tip by the ushers on Saturday night. I have never had it before in Paris or ...

Re: CONCERT REPORTS: Paris September 28, 29, 30, 2012

A truly excellent concert, over 3 1/2 hours with the intermission. Excellent venue, attentive and enthusiastic audience. Mabeanie1 must have been very unlucky with the usher because there was nothing like that visible last night, happily :) but early on, there were people being told to turn cameras ...

Re: CONCERT REPORTS: Paris September 28, 29, 30, 2012

I am just about to set off for Paris for tonight's concert, Olympia is one of my favourite venues, fabulous décor and atmosphere. However I will not be intimidated into tipping, so the ushers will be disappointed with me if this is what they have started doing, never had the problem before here, we ...

Name and Shame, penalise the touts

I have a suggestion to make, I do not know if it is possible at all, as I am aware that Jarkko has enough work to do, BUT in the light of what happened with the pre-sale links being posted elsewhere, I am sure that the genuine members of this forum would not like to have our future chance to get in ...

What a painting !!

I would assume that most Cohen fans are aware of Nick Cave and how much he credits Cohen as an influence in his work, I just saw this picture and really liked it, I hope you do as well :)

I do not know if it is me, but I could not find anything that would play on either of the two pages that have been given, have they been removed, or am I being particularly Luddite today? :?:

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Lille, France, Sept 25, 2010

Nearly 6 months after it was originally due to be held, but worth the long wait for sure. The whole crew appeared to be enjoying themselves despite the absence of Sharon Robinson and with a 28 song set list, so did the audience :) It was good to hear 3 of the new songs being played, certainly they a...

Re: on the side at Lille

Bruges is a beautiful place for sure, it is equally a tourist trap so chose wisely where you spend your money. I have been quite a few times to Bruges, but my best memory is of sitting in the Markt, the old town square with my boyfriend, enjoying a packet of frites and mayonaise and a can of Hoegaar...

CONCERT REPORT : Paris Bercy, July 7

How does the man do it?? This concert, although using a virtually unchanged set list, managed to be fresh and exciting, and very different from last year's offerings. The 15000 seat stadium was packed and was treated to a virtuoso performance once again. The entire cast appeared to enjoy themselves ...

To order go to

They will apparently send it world wide, but I have not tried that service as I live in France

Good luck all

Paris 24th november 2008

The Monday evening show at the Olympia Hall was absolutely fantastic, I know it is easy for fans to keep saying this, but it was certainly true, the venue was smallish, about 2000- 2500 people and this gave a wonderfully intimate atmosphere to the show. The performance seemed to be even more polishe...
