Re: Hallelujah: Leonard Cohen, A Journey, A Song,” Daniel Geller and Dayna Goldfine

Well, I saw it, and we can live on without it - nothing really substantial here. (All stuff is sourced from Palmer's Bird on aWire and Rasky's The Song of Leonard Cohen and European 1988 Tour TV broadcasts anyway). It was nice to see/hear some new stuff, though - Ratso Sloman's recording of telephon...

I don't see it yet on my Netflix.
Justwatch application says it is available only for rent at Google Play as of today.

(My settings for streaming notifications is set to EU-Croatia, may be different for each country.)

Re: Leonard Cohen: previously unpublished novel to be released in autumn

Perhaps there's a link between this and the two previously unknown collections of Cohen's literary works that were registered by Kory & Rice last year. For more information: https://www.leonardcohenforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=39381 I'd say that is it - but in far better version of the pro...

Re: New 1970-1971 recordings available on Apple Music

Hello all, It's that time of year again! Has any sign of a new collection appeared yet? I guess there is now a gap for 3 years. This 1970-71 Copyright Extending Collection contains 1971 sessions outtakes from 1971 album - Leonard's next, fourth album was released only in 1974. (So 2024 is the year ...

Re: Record Store Day 2021: Songs of Love and Hate

Haha, I know the stores but... it is just list of the stores. Will they have the vinyl depends on local Sony and will they import it in the first place. That is why I prefer to order vinyls from some good shop inside EU or from official store (but alas, most of those artists' EU stores are actually ...

No trace of this on any online webstore nor any Record Store Day webstore in EU nor in official LC store. ... Let's hope it will available after that date...

If you know any local music shop which is shipping inside EU (or via Discogs) just lest us all know

Re: Hear Daniel Lanois revive Leonard Cohen on ‘Torn Again’

Ah, it is de-Sharonised version of It's Torn. Daniel Lanois plays the guitar on the original track. Must say I like to hear Leonard's voice here, but strongly prefer the original It's Torn version (which is, imho, the best track on the posthumous album). Still, nice to hear there were alternative id...

All lyrics' variations were usually available at the Leonard Cohen Prologues website but it seems gone for good now. All that job on the all the songs prologues and talks and lyrics variations... gone... Wayback machine has it preserved, here is the page for Everybody Knows: https://web.archive.org/...

Re: Leonard Cohen, Untold Stories: The Early Years

Thanks for this straight-to-the-point review, Eva. I think I'll avoid this (as last few as well.) "Oral history" is, after all, polite name for gossiping so we should knew that. I have just finished reading this trashy book on Kindle (very happy I didn’t waste more money on the Hardcopy!) ...

Re: A poet in Amsterdam

I presume it is just one of many new unauthorised bootlegs - both Amsterdam 1980 and 1988 were recorded from soundboard or FM (I forget which one which) and were shared among fans here on this Forum on CDRs and later as digital files. All those new unauthorised live recordings are actually taken off...

Re: New 1970-1971 recordings available on Apple Music

Listening right now to the superb recording of the Royal Albert Hall 1970 concert. I never heard the 1970 tour in this quality before.

Whenever Apple Music removes it, it is secure now in my hard disc as well  Thanks to all involved and to Maarten, the good spirit of this place.
