Re: Leonard Cohen: TOUR 2008

Marcel Marcel, I can think of nothing more perfect than walking hand in hand...

Re: Leonard Cohen: TOUR 2008

what a delight to peek into that beloved cohendom and to behold the most joyous of news, news worthy of a long long smile, as long as Cyrano's nasal protuberance... Canada, is it not just a benign border-crossing away, a mere thousand miles from home.... just to touch and be touched by the immortali...

fljot.... your perceptiveness and generosity of spirit are overwhelming... in tune with this community?

is this not a "discussion" forum? a thread about the use and meaning of words? or is it about personality or condescension toward 'colonials'?

hmmm....... reading my statement carelessly?.... I used the word "appreciated" which is NOT the same as "understood"... so we have no disagreement...

my point is that one can appreciate something more only IF one knows that something more than superficially...

Thanks Nila...

in that case, how would you evaluate the relative "importance" of lyrics (the message) Versus the musicality of Barbara's work?

60:40, 50:50 or what?

Musicality was what first attracted me to LC... (2003 re-broadcast of the 1988 TV appearance on AUSTIN CITY LIMITS)

Who can steer me to the (French) lyrics of Barbara?... the site that was linked in here only provides a listing of the songs. The 2-CD Le Chatelet 1993 set has a few...
