Re: Leonard Cohen documentary on RTE

See http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... NoJaIFWcdQ for a parody of Hallelujah, but with interesting 1960s black and white footage of the young Leonard.

Not sure I really wanted to see the white vest and underpants though - leave that to David Beckham.

Leonard Cohen documentary on RTE

Just enjoying listening to a documentary on Leonard on RTE1; just heard a nice interview with Sylvie Simmons, and Leonard is now talking about Catholicism and Christianity. You can probably listen back to it on the RTE site http://www.rte.ie see http://www.rte.ie/ten/news/2013/0826/470421-leonard-co...

Re: Is it becoming slightly stale?

Hi Musicmania

The tickets have been advertised on radio several times over the last few weeks, as well as Irish Times.

Re: US paperback of I'm Your Man: The Life of Leonard Cohen

Hi Sylvie I've just finished your biography and want to thank you for a thoroughly interesting and informative read. I enjoyed the chapters on Hydra, particularly since I was there earlier this year, and I'm returning in September. I intend to find Leonard's house this time and drop in a birthday ca...

Re: Is it becoming slightly stale?

I have been to all four Irish concerts, but decided that Leonard has come to the well too often this time. I'm probably not the only one, as tickets for his Dublin concerts are being heavily advertised. I'm a lifelong fan; I've just finished Sylvie Simmons's biography and really enjoyed it. The main...

Re: CONCERT REPORTS: Dublin Sept 11, 12, 14 & 15, 2012

Last night (11 Sept) was my fourth leonard concert, and I think the best so far. Some logistical issues - entry is via the Military Road entrance (the eastern side) and the Kilmainham Gate is closed. It takes about 10 minutes to walk around from the Kilmainham side. The traffic around Kilmainham is ...

Re: The Remarkable Life of Leonard Cohen: new biography (2010)

HI Anthony Thanks for responding on the forum - it's good to be able to hear from the author's mouth. I agree that the main focus of the book was the music, or rather the making of the music, and that I found new and interesting. I suppose the problem is that the book doesn't do what it says on the ...

Re: The Remarkable Life of Leonard Cohen: new biography (2010)

My copy arrived from Amazon today - I was surprised to see a hardback tome instead of a paperback. Just getting started with it. Looks good so far.

Re: Sligo nametags: info and subscriptions

Hi Maarten

Looking forward to seeing you in Sligo. Will you confirm closer to the time where we can pick up the nametags?

Many thanks for your work on this - and I'm sure if you prepare a few extra lanyards you'll have no trouble in getting them off your hands.

All the best.
