Re: Leonard Has Passed Away

Wow! What incredible tributes! We have lost such a special and adored person.
But we have music that makes us smile, laugh and cry (and takes us through every other emotion too) and treasured memories of superb concerts.
Love you, Leonard.

Re: Happy Birthday, Leonard!

Dear Leonard Since listening to your music at university in the 70s I have continued to be uplifted, inspired, calmed and comforted. I have been so lucky to have seen you at lots of wonderful concerts, and I have especially happy memories of the great concerts in the lovely city of Ghent. Looking fo...

Re: Leonard 80 years: Fund Raising for our Hydra Bench

As above, I wondered if some money could maybe go to Hydra Ark, who work hard to improve the lives of the animals, including wildlife, on Hydra. I have emailed them and confirmed that the organisation still exists, and just said that I am considering ways to raise funds, but no promises. I haven't c...

Not many trees on Hydra seafront / port.....! But relentless sun - the mules stand there for hours!

Re: Leonard 80 years: Fund Raising for our Hydra Bench

Just had another idea....last time I went to Hydra (in 2012) the donkeys / mules in the town waiting to carry tourists were standing in full sun. Would a donkey shelter be a good idea? Wouldn't cost much, and would make a lot of difference to their lives! Cilla. *** impossible to get permission to b...

Re: Leonard 80 years: Fund Raising for our Hydra Bench

Thanks for your positive responses!
I have emailed Hydra Ark to make sure they are still operating. Their website looks up to date, but I thought it would be a good idea to check.
I'll post a message when (or if) I get a response.

Re: Leonard 80 years: Fund Raising for our Hydra Bench

Just contributed my money via PayPal. Very much looking forward to sitting on the bench, maybe next year! I think that giving the surplus money to the hospital is an excellent idea. I just wondered if we could also consider giving a small donation to Hydra Ark, an organisation which tries to care fo...

Re: URGENT: LONDON AND LEEDS RE-SCHEDULED

I wrote above - Just had an email from ENTS24 - selling the London and Leeds tickets as if they were new concerts! By the way - I asked for one ticket for London - and Stalls C1, Row A, Seat 14 came up. Hope that helps someone! (I didn't buy it!) It's occurred to me that this might be a ticket which...

Re: CONCERT REPORT: OBERHAUSEN

One of the stewards at the front in London told me that Leonard and his band wait until the arena is 80% full before they come on stage. I thought he was joking at the time, but it looks as if he was possibly correct. He said it was supposed to start at 7.30 - but it started about 20 minutes later. ...

Re: LUCCA, ITALY (July 9, 2013) NOW ON SALE

lorielenamari I have just tried the link to Lucca ticket sellers on the forum and it says no tickets are available. However if you google Ticketone, the people selling the tickets, you can click on the interactive map and get tickets. Above where it lets you click on the tickets you want, it says 'b...

Thanks Cohenadmirer - great video!
I love watching Leonard's face when he shows that he really appreciates the excellent musicians - in this case the violin bit.

Re: PRESALE NOW TO LONDON (June 21, 2013)

Thanks to everyone who helped me try to work out if I will be able to see anything from the front, but way over right at the side. Most of you were optimistic - so I am optimistically looking forward to an unobstructed view....albeit with a crick in my neck from looking upwards! Worst scenario is a ...
