Re: Poetry Book dedicated to Leonard

woody, i love this:
the world trying to understand itself
still naive to how dark it could become
while you were down from the mountain

Re: Writings

Dear goldin, the essence of your poem - to me - is in these two lines. And a very substantative essence it is. Can you imagine to reconstruct the rest form there? A visa (permit for entering or leaving a country) for the realm of poetry doesn't have to be granted. Just go on... Just to be younger Do...

Re: "The Age of Lust is Over"

Dennis, this reminds me - an old, old man - of the early works of Allan Parsons. To you this might sound like some "everything has been there before" - but it isn't. I think it's a fresh attempt at solving the same problem Alan Parsons had to solve before. I like it. Hopefully there's more...

Re: elegy on a baby child's death

I wasn't there to share the joy, and I wasn't really there to share the pain. I just caught up with the hurt. It seems that my inadequate words were able to help with the hard work mourning always is. That's much more than I could ever have hoped for. Re-reading the poem I find much that could be im...

Re: complete the poem.....(Haiku)

Probably your mind was entangled in Pope's "Essay on Criticism" For fools rush in where angels fear to tread Distrustful sense with modest caution speaks, It still looks home, and short excursions makes; But rattling nonsense in full volleys breaks, And, never shocked, and never turned asi...

Recline on the bench
decline park keeper’s offer
and keep off the grass

and keep off the grass.
the fool in spring dares tread where
angels fear to rush.

Re: R.I.P. Andrew McGeever

All this happened while I was away, so I was pretty much stunned when Margaret told me somewhere else about Andrew's passing. There was a time when Andrew and I phoned almost daily, talking about poetry and music. Somehow life went on, and we just exchanged a couple of emails now and then. And now i...

Maybe it's legal, maybe it's not. But thank you for it.

Unfortunately you already hit the daily DL limits on your dropbox, Linda. :(
