Captain Beefheart passes away

He was one of my all time favorite artists. I'm curious to know if there are any other Beefheart fans here, if so please reply if you have anything to say about him.

New Live Album From Tom Waits

It's from his recent tour. I'm really excited about it. I hope that 'Lucinda/Ain't Going Down To The Well' is the version from Paris that I saw on you tube, that was amazing. Also really looking forward to the Isle of Wight from Leonard Cohen. My top two artists have new releases and I'm very happy ...

Re: Leonard's version of Hallelujah

I agree, there is just something about the way Buckley sings it that it just doesn't get to me the way Cohen's version does. Thanks for the reply.

Re: Hello, I'm new to this forum... (introducing yourselves)

Leonard was very close to me back in May I think, he was in Detroit at the Fox theater, I didn't have the money. I think he has a concert coming up in Cleveland soon, but again I can't afford it. I'd love to see him live, I really enjoyed Live In London. I'm also looking forward to the release of Li...

Leonard's version of Hallelujah

I apologize if a similar post has already been made, but I really think that Leonard's version of Hallelujah is the most beautiful. Better than Wainwright and the overrated Jeff Buckley version.

Re: Hello, I'm new to this forum... (introducing yourselves)

Hi, I posted my introduction in the wrong forum, I feel kind of dumb now. I'm a big movie fan. A couple of my favorite directors are Jean-Luc Godard and Werner Herzog. I discovered Leonard Cohen by watching Shrek. I did some searching on his song Hallelujah. I then picked up The Essential Leonard Co...

Tom Waits

What do you all think of Tom? He's great in my opinion. I love his old stuff and the new stuff. Bone Machine and Rain Dogs are his best, but thats just me.
