Re: Happy Birthday, Leonard!

Thank you, Leonard, for the work you've done. A very happy (belated) birthday!

Re: Poetry publication in honour of 75th

Hi, everyone. I haven't been a consistently active member, but I have been registered on the forum for a couple of years now. One of my poems is appearing in the anthology.

Re: Natalie is going to see Leonard in Victoria-thank you Jarkko

As we haven't heard that any meet-up or dinner is happening, my girlfriend and I have made other arrangements. '

Cheers!

Re: shhh.... for Canadians only

There is definitely more than one LC song per day. One in the the morning and one in the afternoon. You can enter up to twice a day.

Cheers!

I love Patrick's poem, "On Raglan Road."

Gorgeous!

Re: Natalie is going to see Leonard in Victoria-thank you Jarkko

I was thinking of travelling to Vancouver too, but as you've described, too much hassle. I suspected our venue would be more intimate (and not brokered by TicketMaster, thankfully!) Do you think there would be enough interest in local concert-goers to meet for a dinner or something before the show? ...

Re: LEONARD COHEN -- VICTORIA, CANADA

Hi Belle,

The Floor is a seated area. There is no standing section, thankfully!

You are 13 rows from the Big Guy, so that isn't shabby.

We should arrange some kind of local Victoria meet-up before the concert.

Anyone?

Yes!

I managed to get a seat on the Side (MAIN, 102, J 1-2).

I'm hoping that here I'll be able to see and hear -- although
at a side angle -- pretty well.

Re: Natalie is going to see Leonard in Victoria-thank you Jarkko

I would love to help with any future LC Tribute, and I might be able to wrangle a couple volunteers. Also, while I recognize the chance I'm taking on the public ticket sale, I flew to Toronto to see him in June, thinking he might never tour further west, and then sat at the very back of the venue. N...

Re: Natalie is going to see Leonard in Victoria-thank you Jarkko

Hi Natalie, I'm also a Victoria resident! We've corresponded before. Due to my schedule, I have only been able to log in now for the Pre-Sale. Is the venue pretty good? I'm able to get Row 19 in section A2. It doesn't seem very close. Do you think I should go for two seats there, or do you think it ...

Re: Leonard and Anjani, please come to Victoria or Vancouver

Yes, I'm hoping he'll travel to the Coast too. Perhaps he'll travel this way in the Fall of 2008 or early 2009. I hope so! If he travels as far as Edmonton, that's close enough for me. In fact, Toronto is close enough for me, as I was wild-minded enough to buy tickets anyway, not understanding how I...

Finding Records: Leonard's Recent Songs

I inherited a record player last summer along with a number of lovely records, but I really wanted to find one of Leonard's records -- fat chance! Recently I was able to secure one over e-bay and paid too much for a record that is slightly bent. However, "paid too much" may be incorrect. T...

Re: Toronto Tickets - did you get them?

Looks like I'm way at the back of the balcony -- according to the map -- but I'm happy to be in at all. Anyone know the venue and how small Leonard & Co. will look from balcony?

Thanks Jarkko for your helpfulness -- and thanks to Leonard and his management for the pre-sale option!

Re: Toronto Tickets - did you get them?

I managed to get "Seat location: section BALC7, row VV, seats 65-66" -- are balcony seats any good -- I was hoping to squeak into the front orchestra seats, but those were gone fast! As it is, I don't know how I'll pay for travel to get from Victoria to Toronto, but it will be done-- even ...
