Re: Is Ticketmaster ever compassionate?
Thank you everybody- my son collected his tickets without a problem on Friday and had a wonderful birthday. I'm grateful too for the video links so I can sense the atmosphere from across the Atlantic. Lots of kindness and generosity here- it is appreciated.

Re: Is Ticketmaster ever compassionate?
Just had a helpful reply from Ticketmaster who are setting up an arrangement for my son to collect the ticket himself (with ID) in New York. Thank you so much everyone for all the advice. And three cheers for ticketmaster (didn't expect to be saying that).

Re: Is Ticketmaster ever compassionate?
Thanks Marie- I'll do that. I couldn't find a suitable number to call, and in two weeks I should be calm enough to cope!

Is Ticketmaster ever compassionate?
I've accidentally bought 2 tickets for NYC in my name, using my visa for my son's birthday present- I couldn't see a way to put them in his name and then it was too late! I live in UK, he's in Canada. I posted on another thread and had helpful advice about giving him lots of documentation and hoping...

Re: PRE-SALE INFORMATION
Thanks Tonymoco for that advice- I'll try it. He could even show his birth certificate to prove it's a birthday present. I should have let him book them himself but he's off canoeing, and I wanted them on my visa not his. Beginning to calm down- ticketmaster provides quite an adrenalin rush.

Re: PRE-SALE INFORMATION
Oh dear- got 2 seats I'm happy with, but in the rush didn't see a place to put my son's name in, not mine (I'm paying, his birthday present) and it says they can only be picked up by me with photo ID. He's in North America, I'm not. Is there anyone I can plead with to let him collect them ? Can't re...

Re: PRE-SALE INFORMATION
Does anyone know if you can buy tickets for a different person in pre-sale or do they have to be in your own name? My son's birthday is on the day of the New York show and I can't think of a better present!
