Re: never-ending gallery

...It could be that I may have to change one of my signature quotes... Indeed. So, when people accuse others of having no spine, would that make the spineless person ambidextrous, or neither-handed? As this occurs to a different extent in the left and the right spinal cord...... Taking the above qu...

Re: never-ending gallery

I was guessing it was the latter, so thank you for that confirmation, Geoffrey :) I am left-handed in writing, art (and eating ;-)) But I do use my right hand for some other things including art. And what you said about making it easier for you to draw a nose makes sense. Thanks for the links. I was...

. . . "...planet Earth is blue and there's nothing I can do..." . . . Mat, There's lot of blue going around the forum world lately - you could say, "I've never seen the sky so blue" :) Blue Alert, Blue Alert!! .... I think you are going through your blue period as did Picasso ;-) https://www.leonar...

quote=Leonard] his lips and his fingers were blue Blue Alert, Blue Alert!! And that's a great program ;-) Geoffrey, I have a question I've been meaning to ask you for a while now. Are you left handed or are you just drawing your left hand with your right hand ;-) https://www.leonardcohenforum.com/d...

Are you referring to me? If so, it's Dr. Freud, if titles are being used. ;-)
hehe! Maybe I should have used this alternate verse Leonard sang many times in concert in the seventies ;-)

I was the very reverend Doctor Freud"

haha! I note your words, Mr and Mrs Sigmund Freud ;-)

Alan, I laughed out loud at Alan's quotes!

.... And the happenstances keep coming :)

Re: never-ending gallery

My pleasure, Geoffrey! And I can see why you would think being taught art stifles creativity. Whatever way you choose, it's about being freely true to yourself. All my life ever since I can remember I have drawn and painted. I was so eager to learn more and am happy I chose the way I did to do that....

Re: never-ending gallery

Geoffrey, I find it such an interesting happenstance you would post that old art ad! Before I went to art college, worked in the graphic (commercial) art industry and became an art teacher, some of my very first art instruction books that I still have came from such a place! We lived in the country ...

Re: never-ending gallery

Now, looking forward to more of Geoffrey's creative artwork. very kind of you, B4real, although "looking forward" will always risk being the overture to a disappointment ;-) Looking forward and living on the edge is exciting, isn't it ;-) Very cool, both of these portraits, Geoffrey. I think you ar...

Thanks for the heads-up, Andrew.
I'm not really into covers of Leonard but this does seem a little different because it is for a special remembrance occasion.

Re: Book-stack promo

Hi Andrew, Ha! I'm not prone to watching financial reports but I do watch the ABC - actually I prefer SBS :) Leonard has a way of making an appearance where you least expect him so I'm not surprised to see that! And Everybody Knows it has been proved (by me) that men have a preference for the song F...

Re: Say a prayer for the Cowboy....Ballad of the absent Mare

Mat, here are some alternate lines Leonard has sung over the years for this song. I thought you might be interested in them :) And the sun goes down by the river’s side... And the crickets are playing their final song... Then at home on his branch... And she leans on her neck And she whispers low an...

Re: never-ending gallery

Yes, as Lisa's new subject states, we have digressed somewhat here. Actually, it seems solong started it all off  Alan, thanks for the photo enhancement! Shame we can't see their faces - by memory I think George (in the white shirt) is in the centre. The defender of the ball on our right also ...

Re: never-ending gallery

Super goal Alan M ;-) Ah, such memories! Now that has prompted some of my personal fond footy reminiscences! About that same time I was also playing soccer, position centre-half. I still have all my grand final and best of trophies! Franz Beckenbauer, Pat Jennings and George Best were my heroes then...
