I am all in favour of alienating people if they are contemptible fucktards!

Unrelated: that Jacques Tati clip was very funny!

Re: never-ending gallery

...i've noticed that most everybody looks a bit like somebody else... Apparently, I look like a lot of people (but nobody famous, as far as I know) -- I am regularly approached by strangers who think that I am somebody else that they know -- they will usually say things like, "Excuse me, are y...

... living here is very pleasant, and so modern... the fridge defrosts itself when necessary.... Yet another mid-20th Century convenience, kind of like smoke detectors. ;-) Glad you like your new digs! Incidentally, I did notice your Springsteen pics (and a Leonard portrait, looking a bit like Boga...

...These links can be seen in Australia and hopefully you can see them in Canada too!... Thank you! The links to the excerpts do work in Canada! I have since discovered that I can create an account on "CBC Gem" for free (which is streaming the documentary in Canada), and then I can watch ...

Yes, those would be smoke detectors. They are ubiquitous ...

PS., I should have said, "vouyerism and a lack of privacy" to avoid ambiguity -- I did not mean a lack of voyeurism!

Re: If It Be Your Will - a film through the eyes of Adam Cohen

This sounds great -- I'd love to see it! For those of us in Canada, it is on yet another subscription-only streaming service -- I wish that all of the Cohen stuff were in one place -- a "Leonard Cohen Channel" would be perfect (maybe toss in videos of related artists, etc.), I'd subscribe ...

Re: never-ending gallery

Realistic looking bugs, Lisa (except for the colors of course)... No, actually, the colours are not that far off from the real thing: mine are a bit brighter in parts (due to artistic licence, a bit of simplification, and working with the colours that I had available), but Nature is full of amazing...

Re: never-ending gallery

I hope that I didn't offend anybody's sensibilities with my second-last post! (If I did, well, that's their problem, isn't it?). Nonetheless, I shall step off my soapbox and post a picture of two cute little Squishmallow penguins (Squishmallow is a brand of stuffed/soft toys), inspired by the fact t...

Re: So Long Marianne TV series filmed on Hydra

...So for me it's mostly irrelevant if it really happened or not because we'll never know the truth anyway. It's enough to know that it COULD have happened. Indeed. And, to be quite frank, both Cohen and Clift were well-known for their rampant promiscuity -- let's face it, they "slept around&q...

Re: Moneylender's Daughter

He should have left the title as Moneylender's Daughter. We have not yet established that he, or anyone else other than one letter-writer quoted in a UK magazine, ever called it that. Incidentally, an early version of "Sing Another Song, Boys", entitled, "As You Can See", was re...
